If the phone is going in Download Mode, the try a fresh install via Odin.
The phone should not have left going in Recovery Mode on its own.

flashed to stock 2.3.4 via odin and the phone booted. turned it off to check and now the same problem is back. and now it won't charge. tried both the usb and the wall charger. it does detect the usb but does not charge. Gave the phone to some shop and the guy said " Flash IC ka problem lag raha hai. Change kerni paregi" ...I'm not too sure about this. need help

Flash IC ka problem? :S Pehli baar sun raha hoon problem. I mean i have heard about THIS issue, but "flashing" IC wala pehel baar sun raha hoon. No idea about that.

If it booted up at first attempt, then it shouldn't have caused any problems on the next boot too.
Did you try doing to Download Mode another time after this happened?
Hard for me to believe that the phone would do such a thing as i have seen Minimal people complaining about any issues in Galaxy S. :S

Ofcourse we are not going to get the same ICS4.0 experience as people are getting on the Galaxy Nexus (no hardware buttons etc).

So i wont mind these companies making a move with their own launchers.

Besides, TouchWiz 4.0 wasn't that bad. Atleast it was a 3x improvement from the friggin TW3.0

First, don't use China USB cables. They are not reliable.

Secondly, try darky rom 10.2 and flash it via Odin. See xda or darkyrom.com. clean install, wipe data and dalvik cache using cwm and don't forget to convert to ext4. Hopefully your problem will be solved.
Reminder: No china cable!

If his phone is rooted and booting, darkyrom app (downloadable from market ) or can also be used to go to the recovery mode.

Sony have acquired Sony Ericsson. Its a fact that Sony Ericsson has made much sexier phones in past, but in hardware it have always failed or say , remained mediocre.
I wont be surprised if this device does take the award of being yet another sexiest phone by Sony Ericsson.

Its hard for be to believe they will name the phone as dumb as "Nozomi". This name is just not good enough to 'cash' itself in the market.
Google reveals that this phone is also speculated to be called a "Xperia Arc HD". So there you have it, a Sexy Name for a Sexy Device ... which would not only attract people's attention, but will also cash itself in market very easily.

Anyone here can tell me how to edit Darky roms???..Im currently using it on samsung vibrant.I want to change the lockscreen.Currently i have the rotary lockscreen and want to change it stock SGS lockscreen.Unfortunately darkyrom.com is not opening.
So please anyone with Darky's Rom experience could tell me??:chinese:

Also after i flashed the rom i have noticed that i have less RAM avalaible.On stock i had abour 100-150MB RAM avalaible but now i have about 70-90MB ram avalaible.Anysolution to this also will this effect the normal usage and during playing games?

Download the EDT Application. The Darky ROM is already configured for EDT App (which is why it already has a The Rotary Lockscreen.)

And Darkyrom.com is opening up just fine.

Beware though ... if you download EDT Application from anywhere, which asks you to replace the some files in your root directory ... DONT. Because the files have already been replaced by Darky and it only needs the Application itself to configure.

Also, dont touch anything other than the Lockscreens (Status Bar or Battery Icon etc).

There may be some problems with EDT App, not showing some screens as they are written (i mean, selecting Normal Screen might select the Puzzle Lock etc etc) ... but overall, it works JUT FINE.

My next phone is Sony for sure if they came out with some awesome specs in dual core...

I was really impressed with Xperia Ray... awesome design, build, loud and clear sound, snappy and just amazing network Reception in that small compact phone... Wish that was dual core with 1gb Ram.....
I can sacrifice Sense for these things...

What i have experienced is that Sony handsets don't require any Custom Roms... Their Stock Roms are always snappy and give you best in everything...
That's why i guess there is not much in Sony development coz developers don't get better feedbacks for their custom Roms and members are happy with Stock Roms...

I hadn't gone around looking at Sony Ericsson phones online but damn man, they have come out with sex bombs this year, Arc S white is jaw dropping.If only I could replace it with the internals of a GSII and it would be the king.
