Ya the thing is that my real gmail pass (that I use in PC) is different from the one I use in tab. Chk this https://accounts.google.com/b/0/IssuedAuthSubTokens?hl=en_GB that is why I have generated the pass some months ago and now can't remember it cause gmail only shows it once.

So my question is, do I re-generate another code for gmail in android ? If I do so how will my tab know that my pass is changed when it is not connected to internet lol .?

if you cant get pass the gmail method then the only option you have is a hard rest of the phone.i had the same issue and this solved it for me =)

I never said that I forgot my pattern I still remember it, it was my stupid friend who entered incorrect one more than 20 times :/ .

I can't remember the code for gmail cause google only shows it to you once.

I will do the reset as no other way is present .

Abhi kal to ROM install kiya hay tum ne new.
Just flash the new rom once again. And make sure not to do this same mistake again

yep the download mode is working but it just stays on that screen

i didn't do anything.took out the battery. put it back in and it just doesn't boot.

Bought Xperia Ray for my brother today,

I must saw its just an awesome mobile... Feels Solid in hands, Its slim, compact size, lovely design...

The display is so sharp, ...its as good as an iPhone's display.. Its 297 ppi which is the best i have seen in Android phones... text appears very sharp
Saturation of display is not as good though... This Bravia Engine is just a marketing gimmick... It only works in Videos and pictures...

Camera is just fine... I was expecting more from Sony but its pics are not as good as Sensation cam but still nearly as good...

Video has washed out colors hut its really smooth and i loved its video Stabilization... Not shaky at all...

Wifi had good range and GPS lock took no time...

Sound is just awesome... Its so Loud in speakers and even in calls and is so clear... XLoud feature adds more better sound...

Performance is quite good... Its snappy in its stock condition and runs HD games quite well... Ran Riptide GP, Samurai vengeance II, Windup knight... All ran very smooth... Occasional stutters occur but it could be due to background processes...


Overall Sony are best on designs, build and designs...

Aray yar this 2-step verification helps u secure ur gmail account more, everytime you log in from any other PC google will send u a sms containing a 4 digit code to identify first. This 2-step verification does not works with android so that is why gmail assigns a different pass.
Ya now I am bhugt-ing what I did. ): Will disable it for now.

Ya the ROM was new but I really hate to set all the settings from default :/


Anyway I have resetted my device and finished installing the apps too. Now I need some software to backup these softwares, I know about Clockwork + Titanium but they both require root, which I haven't done.

I can't think of any solution to this problem as there isn't enough material you provided us with.

What ROM was running on it?
Rooted or not?
What caused you to Reboot your device?
Which software/application you installed before restarting the device?
Is that a i9000 or any other model e.g Vibrant?
Does it go in Recovery Mode?

Without Rooting, you can't exactly make PROPER backups. Titanium Backup is THE BEST software available for Backing Up your data.
So Root your device Pronto.

Also, that Clockwork Recovery Mod wala "backup" is called a NanDroid Backup, which is just like a Backup Image of your ROM. (like you create images of Windows using Norton Ghost or BartPE)

3 hours if charged via AC Charging.

If charging from Wall Socket is taking time, then confirm it from the Settings>Status whether or not its Charging at AC.
