Ever Tried Port Forwarding ? SHIRO'S Routers

Hello Guys ,
i am fed up of this shit now . I have tried all the ways you all have given for forwarding ports on SHIRO noob router . Well if you have forwarded any port on SHIROs modem . Do Check it on canyouseeme.org ( if it said success or your port is forwarded or what what) . I have tried it and it says "Connection Refused" . I have disabled my firewall , NO AVs , tried with AV but....

I am on VISTA "TH3KiD-PC" is my computer's name . In The Clients Page i got

192.168.1.2
TH3KiD-PC


Static
192.168.1.3
TH3KiD-PC


Static

and its same as my pc. My LAN IP comes between these two and ive forwarded on both of em

well i did it recently. the trick is you have to select ptcl connection from the drop down connection menu and apply port forwarding to it. not to the get-started(something like this) connection.

by the way here is the guide for forwarding port for azureus:

Do you have the SHIRO DSL805E
the same modem that PTCL is issuing nowadays
then there is no problem because i am using the same, At first I also had a lots of difficulties forwarding My ports. But Now I know.
Oright ....... I will try to help you with.

First Note the below method.


1. Get Utorrent (www.utorrent.com)
2. Open it

Press Ctrl + P & set as follows:

and

Now Click on the icon, as show in the image. (mine is green showing my port being forwarded. If the port is not forwarding then its yellow triangle or sometimes red circle)

note the port number (mine is 41112)


now.....Restart your computer. After that, turn your Modem/Router OFF.... Turn if on Again..... But dont wait for it to load fully.
Just, when the red power light gets green. Open Internet Explorer & Type 192.168.1.1
Username = admin
Password = admin
Go to "Applications" > "Port forwarding" > (Put a dot into) "Users" > (Click) "New"

When the "Rule Management" screen opens up,
Enter/Type "Utorrent" in the "Rule Name" box, Enter/Type 41112 (the same number that was showing in the Utorrent program)
enter the same number in "Port Start", "Port End" & "Port Map"
Click on "Submit"

you can enter any port you want here......

Now again (if you want to), put 50000 port number (Port Start, Port End, Port Map) & Click "Submit"
Now again (If you want to), Put 60000 port number (Port Start, Port End, Port Map) & Click "Submit"

Now
Click on "Applications" > "Port Forwarding" > Available Rules (put a dot in "Users") > Select "Utorrent" (the one you just created) > Click on "Add" (The Utorrent will move to "Applied Rules") > Save Settings (left panel where you select the Applications > Portforwarding)
Close the Internet Explorer

Now, you should be seeing a "green check mark" in the Utorrent while downloading a torrent. As shown in the picture

You can also click on this green check mark & click on "Test if Port if Forwarded Properly"

Note: You need to complete the process in exact 2 mins (dont wait for the modem to fully start after restarting your modem) because your modem/router needs 3 minutes to run fully.

or you simply not seeing the green tick mark in your torrent software?

if your message is "Your port cannot be checked as your browser is setup thorough a proxy"..... (something like that) msg then there is no worries. It means that your Port is Forwarding BUT YOU CANNOT CHECK IT. You dont need to worry if you are getting better speeds while downloading torrents.

Hi, i got a prob. When i forward a port of utorrent & click on submit button or any other p2p client on shiro webpage, it gives me error tht cant forward the port. Any help regardin this? Thnks

can you post a picture e.g which port numbers are you trying to forward?
& that error message too......

btw.
Unplug that Phone line from your Modem & Configure your Modem Only when your DSL line is plugged in. I mean, only Connect your PC to your Modem & THEN configure it. & Disable any firewall program i.e. Windows Firewall.
