No 11th man? :p

Anyway. I was hoping Buttner would start tonight alongside Welbeck + Chicha. Anders between the posts and maybe Evans + Smalling with Jones in the midfield.

Still, smart move. I'm glad baba ji has finally realized the CL is out of reach this year and has decided to maximize the possibility of capitalizing on City.
Same here. I was hoping for Buttner on the left. Chicha in place of RVP. Anders in goal. But defense is fine as it is. We need a mature player at the back. But as you said, smart move by SAF for playing an almost full strength team.

The title is in the bag, but from United's play, it does look like they might well get humiliated by Madrid in midweek.

The EPL is such a one horse race!

Just like La Liga this season. They are both the most uncompetitive leagues in Europe this year.

Looks like it's time to switch over to Bundesliga.

Oh, wait... Bayern Munich have already won the League?

Oh well...
Imagine Chelsea & City not injecting Millions. What would have happened then?

Serie A is for you this season.

1 = Juventus 55
2 = Napoli 50
3 = Lazio 44
4 = Inter Milan 43
5 = AC Milan 41

Funny you should say that. I watched Juventus vs. Fiorentina this weekend, and watched the last two Milan games (since Balotelli arrived).

Now if Kaka can somehow be loaned back to Milan, pulling strings in the middle, that would really make my day!

Matri scored w/o his shoe :lol:

Also, you missed the best game this weekend Lazio vs. Napoli

IIRC, losing a shoe whilst game is in play results in a free-kick to the opponents. The goal shouldn't have counted.
(Or is it legit? Can anyone shed light on this rule?)

you're right, it's a rule... and a rather retarded one at that...

for some reason, when a player loses his boot, it's considered dangerous play... and here's the kicker... the free-kick is given to the opposing team... implying that the person with one boot off is a danger to other people...

the guy who thought this up was either thick in the head, or plain drunk....

but sadly, it's in the books

and still Hart is better than De Gea bastard critics
Obviously!

Whatever the statistics say, in my eyes, Hart is still the better overall keeper *at the moment*. Hart is still elder than De Gea and almost twice as experienced so it makes sense too.

De Gea is no doubt a great keeper for his age and physique, but he really needs to mass up a bit if he wants to be one of the best. Also, his judgement is often poor. He indeed makes excellent saves but only a few errors deem costly. Poorly punching the ball away, punching the ball where it needs to be caught, fooling around finding a ground pass instead of a full power cross up ahead (depending on the case) are some of the few I've noticed the past two years leaving his first ten or so games. Furthermore, his communication with his defenders is not on par with Joe Hart. Something VDS used to display with Uniteds defense 2006-2011. I do expect DDG to leave before he can establish such ground, but the language barrier could also be a factor in this, in which case, he's not the perfect guy for United if they ever want to see beyond the EPL.

That said, he has improved tremendously during his stay at United. Lets see how he handles the pressure against a Spanish giant. If I recall correctly, Casillas was about the same age (and physique too) when they last played United. I do expect him to be Spains next #1 when Casillas finally decides to hang his boots (a long time to go, though). The kid (much like most Spainairds) has a lot of talent and potential.

Hart has been as error-prone this season as De Gea, if not more. But he's BRITISH! So that takes him off the criticism list of the fuckin British media.
