I will tell you what they didn't do. Use Karachi generated income and electricity and use it for developing Punjab.
Now just wait and watch how nawaz shariff transforms Punjab into a heaven and ignores the rest of the states. And karachi will suffer even more because aik bijli thi hamaray pas ab wo nahi hai.
Karachi generated electricity, come on guys, be realistic, we don't have any Sea wave powered electricity generators.

Instead KESC gets ~650MW from National grid

I refuse to believe PTI's kids beat heavyweights in KPK but lost in Punjab. I blatantly refuse it!
KPK was the place where they appointed a neutral caretaker govt. in a swift manner. Punjab and Sindh had ambiguous appointments and it reflects in the election results now.

The stuff going on right now in parts of Lahore and Rawalpindi, PTI and IK must NOT concede defeat!

^Do you even know what's the situation in Rawalpindi? What transpired in NA-122, 125 and 126? How can a person squander a lead of 17,000 votes?

You expect PTI supporters to remain calm at the state of affairs? Seriously?

I'm not sure about the majority of polling stations, but there was blatant rigging in my constituency (NA-125). Saad Rafique of PMLn was twice caught red handed, and after being removed by army from one booth (where he was there for 90 minutes), he then came into our booth in female side, where he openly conducted rigging. My mom, personally scolded him off.
I'm definitely not sure about the support PTI had in other parts of Lahore, but DHA/Cantt was definitely all out for Imran Khan.
The result does not sink in. As it were not only the youth, but rest of the citizens were also gunning for PTI. It's a very educated block to which we belong, and it was epitomized by IK's support.
I share the exact sentiment. I came to vote with my father in Defence degree college for Boys next to DHA Cinema Lahore. THe Line I saw there, not a single supporter of PML-N was in sight. Almost entirely the whole queue who was standing in line came to vote for PTI. Though I had some hot debate with my father about not casting vote for PML-N (he voted for them). I however decided to vote for PTI. Though the end result is not what we were expecting. Now we all truly know the worth of all these parties which is none of them deserve our vote.

Well disagreeing on this one as I met several Education functionaries of Punjab during my official visit last year. Shahbaz Shareef was genuinely interested in Education and adopted the best suited strategies to meet the needs of common man streamlining in system to achieve MDGs. Transferred the best officers from different cadres to run the department, introduced departments which were needed, adopted a monitoring function to measure the deliverable. Within first three years, he conducted more than 720 meetings and used to take updates and progress from the officers in charge from every department.
Education was the top most agenda during his term and I am happy that he will continue to dominate in this term as well.
Importantly, the system he developed didn't only cover Lahore and "I am not from Punjab!".
Can't comment about the things you are saying as honestly I simply don't know. But consider this, many billions were spent on laptops. If I am not mistaken this is already a (number of times) higher than our whole educational budget. How does it sound like a remotely good move? If these laptops (and possibly even more resources) were distributed just for genuine (potential) entrepreneurs or start-ups (rather than every other student) the expenditure would be far less and it would actually be more beneficial (since start-ups have a chance of turning the investment into success).

Secondly I don't have a source for this (as I only have heard this), but literacy percentage didn't change at all in all these years. And all the exuberant amount of money spent on danish schools, just about every analyst I have heard says the same thing that it would be far better to spend it on improvement of existing schools (since it would be much more cost-efficient as buildings for lots of schools are already present). And also, there is a non-existence of any higher education institutions in the south, yet nothing was done for it in whole 5 years.

But perhaps, I am over-idealisitic in this matter. But yes, these are just my general thoughts, not some scientific analysis. I could be wrong or misinformed in some of the arguments.

In my constituency, PTI candidate was an unknown kid, and was up against PML(N) candidate whose father won just because Bhutto did extreme rigging in Sindh in 70's. He was the only alternative to PPP.

do you have any idea that the metro bus he started was expected to be run in loss for the first 3 years but its now actually earning money for the govt ? the public is happy and voted for him , i dont think any one should be but hurt about it like altaf hussain
Good Golly his Metro Bus that did everything for the whole country. But on the other end, they sapped on the funds with no remorse. Must be a two-way street.

^ ok 5 maybe 10 NA seats r rigged in pml
N favour? Phr b baki 100 seats? :p
And you have the nerve to blame PTI supporters for displaying their anger on social media? Entirely justified imo.

What do you know about the no. of seats PTI lost to rigging? A historic voter turn out of 60% and this is what the PTI achieved? A rational mind can't accept the results mate.
