GCA comprises of publications some of which have already selected their winners regardless of playability, and others which are not even regular game reviewers on Metacritic (Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly, The Verge, Famistu) lol

It gets its due credit because its the only award show that major publications also partake in. Not like its excluded altogether. But yea, its pretty obvious what the critics themselves picked as the Game of the Show.

Pretty fanboyish to call it 'the only one that matters' aka 'the only one which validates my opinion' lol

Metacritic has no role to play in the case of E3 awards. Did the critics in question play the game (they do in order to qualify for GoTY awards) they awarded as game of the show? No, therefore the only award with a logical criteria is the relevant one here. There's nothing fanboyish about that.

On the contrary, what's fanboyish is pointlessly spamming tallies that hold no significance in order to drive one's own agenda.

We now know that even the haters admit Cyberpunk 2077 was the Most Innovative game shown at E3 2018 including the playable ones :hah:
