I used to buy smartphones from samsung until the s6, when they got rid of the removeable battery and sd card slot, that was a deal-killer for me.

So now the only company with removable batteries is LG in their phones, and im in the market for a g4 or a g5 in about a month or two, but i want to buy them new and with a warrenty. So i am having a bit of trouble here, i dont want to buy a phone without a warranty ( Im buying new, i should get a warranty, its only fair )

Do the lg phones in pak come with warranties?

Not even warrenties given by the shops themselves?

So what happens if i get a new g5 and it turns out to be faulty?

I just lost 60k?

Online stores are very notorious with their warranties. I've never actually seen a case of someone getting a faulty phone and he was pleased with the whole return procedure. It's always a massive pain in the ass.

Local stores usually give a day or two for an expensive phone. Fortunately I've never gotten a faulty phone so I've never experienced what would happen if I did. But I seriously doubt they will just take back a 60k phone and give you a new one.

The best solution is to check the phone before handing the cash. All online shops have cash on delivery and you can always check the phone in store before paying. If after a month the phone develops a fault, consider yourself lucky if you get a replacement. But do NOT go in with the mindset that your phone is under warranty. It's not.

Thanks for the info. Just a final thing, the only phones with warranties are samsung, huawei, rivo, oppo and qmobile correct?

Any other phones from lets say...sony,apple,lg,htc are completely in the gray zone?

Sony comes with International Warranty, which as far as I know can be claimed abroad in UAE and other areas, depending on where you bought the phone from. No local warranty though.

HTC phones (up till the M8) came with Brightex warranty, strangely, I don't think they ever launched the M9 here.

LG phones (a few of them, not the G series) were also sold with Brightex warranty, but not anymore.

Huwaei, Rivo, Oppo, QMobile all have local warranties, from Airlink, GreenTech, M&P and others.
Samsungs are sold with GreenTech or M&P warranty.

Apple phones warranty can be claimed at Future Tech in Islamabad, don't know if they operate in Lahore or not.

inovi is the official partner of Sony and Huawei according to their site. Don't they give local warranty on Sony phones?

I really like lg, i had a very good experience with my nexus 5 and a friends g3
No other manufacturer has removable batteries which is very important to me.

huawei is substandard for the price. They charge flagship prices but their displays, and cameras are substandard. ( 1080p on a 6 inch display??? needs at least 1440p )

Samsung is more expensive, has no removable batteries, and i dont like how delicate the glass construction is. Not to mention they have custom exynos processors so ROMS are very few.

Sony shits out a new phone every 6 months that is barely better then the last one. the z1-z3 are basically the exact same phones.

Thanks for bringing that up.
They don't give warranty for any Sony phone except Xperia Z3 Dual SIM. That was the only Sony device sold by Inovi.

All other phones are from UK, UAE and sometimes the US carrier versions.

Don't bash the manufacturer just because you bought a lemon.
LG makes awesome phones and the lack of attention and everything makes them very affordable in Pakistan.
An LG G4 with SD808, 3GB RAM and a 2K screen can be had for around 27-30k.

Don't discourage people from buying LG phones because you had a bad experience.

You can try homeshopping.pk . They offer their store warranty which covers repair cost.

Other than that, LG phones don't come with official warranty anymore.

But these phones are totally worth it.
