It's for people who played before or during the holiday season. So in that regard, it's all good. I will be opening mine tonight. Been stuck on finishing Breaking Bad in this off-season of uni.

Fuck man thats probably one of the better scout rifles available in the game right now, what perks did it have? If it had the Firefly and Exploding Rounds .... you have done a big mistake! I want that gun so damn bad but sadly the vendor version of the rifle only has firefly and no exploding rounds.

I got Up for anything, its a good auto rifle I am very much liking its....just close to the standards of Vanquisher VIII.

‘Destiny’ Patch Removes Crota’s End Exploits, Adds More Loot Drops

Check out the current patch notes below:
Crota’s End – Updates

  • The Pit treasure chest will now contain Radiant Materials.
Pit Encounter

  • Removed the physics impulse caused by exploding lanterns.

Bridge Encounter
  • Players will now be required to cross the bridge in order to complete the bridge encounter.
  • Players will now be required to wait for the bridge to be completed prior to crossing with the sword.

Deathsinger Encounter
  • Fixed a rare case where the Shriekers would not spawn, preventing players from reaching the Deathsinger.

Crota Encounter
  • Two Swordbearers will no longer spawn at the same time at the outset of the encounter.
  • Crota will now recover from his kneeling state after a player quits.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to remove the “Presence of Crota” using a Radiance Warlock’s Fireborn ability.

Vault of Glass – Updates

  • Exotic weapon drops in the Vault of Glass are now Level 32.

Getting Swole in the Crucible
The Raid crew wasn’t the only team readying tweaks heading into and out of the holiday season. Our Crucible designers have a few things in the works to add some spice to the early goings of 2015.

  • Asylum, The Anomaly, and The Burning Shrine maps will be added to existing Clash and Control playlist rotation.
  • Iron Banner will return, with updated rewards, running from January 13[SUP]th[/SUP]through January 19[SUP]th[/SUP].

I already has Another NiTC. Didn't check the perks on it though. But I've mostly drifted away from scout rifles and only kept VoC for those odd Solar Burn Nightfalls. I think I have like 2, maybe 3 scout rifles hauled up.

[h=2]Destiny cheat fixes coming next week[/h]

Bungie today announced a bunch of fixes for Destiny including the infamous cheat which incapacitates boss Crota in Crota's End.

In an update today, the company detailed bug fixes and improvements including, one in which "Crota will now recover from his kneeling state after a player quits". It is also fixing the situation that allows two separate swords to spawn at the same time.

Bungie has also changed some of the reward structure. "The existing Pit treasure chest reward moved to killing Ir Yut, the Deathsinger," states the update. "She has a chance to drop Exotic weapons and armor, class pieces, and Radiant materials." Also, "the Pit treasure chest will now contain Radiant Materials." The patches will be deployed early next week.

The update also announced that the Iron Banner event will return, with updated rewards, running from Jan. 13 through Jan 19. Additionally, "Asylum, The Anomaly, and The Burning Shrine maps will be added to existing Clash and Control playlist rotation."

As far as Hard Mode for Crota's End is concerned, Bungie has still not announced a firm date, though it's expected this month. "We're going through the final few stages of deployment. It's almost ready. As soon as we have a concrete date to share, we'll set it in stone," stated the blog post.

In other news, I upgraded my TLW and loving it so far. Also I did the CE raid completely for the first time. Did all areas legit and it was the best fun since VoG. The crew I ran with was easily the most hilarious bunch of drunktards I've ever seen! This game, man. This game is providing with so many memories, I fear it may be a long time when a new game will top it.

[h=2]Destiny fixed, Crota isn't a pushover anymore; Iron Banner rewards detailed[/h]

All good things, and boss-weakening glitches, must come to an end. And so today, with Destiny's latest patch, players will find that Crota isn't the pushover some had turned him into.

Among the myriad of updates, fixes and additions was one very important one:

"Crota," the breakdown of the latest update reads, "will now recover from his kneeling state after a player quits."

It's a relatively easy fix for a cheat players discovered in taking on the boss. The update also makes sure that two Swordbearers will no longer spawn at the same time at the outset of the encounter and got rid of the ability for players to remove the "Presence of Crota" using a Radiance Warlock's Fireborn ability.

So the update removed the Crota-killing cheat. But what else do Destiny players get?

"The Dark Below infused Destiny with new content, along with some new issues that we have sought to correct," according to a post by the Destiny development team. "With this update, we're paying special attention to the Crota's End Raid — along with weapons, arenas, and rewards for other activities. Iron Banner is also being prepared to return."

Here's a bit of the rundown, though you can get the complete details right here.

Iron Banner returns 1 a.m. PT, Jan. 13 and here are the rewards you can receive:

  • Playlist weapon drops
    • Level 32 Sniper Rifle
    • Level 32 Auto Rifle
  • Gain event standing to earn Legendary gear
    • Level 32 Hand Cannon
    • Level 32 Rocket Launcher
    • Level 32 Gauntlets
    • Level 31 Chest

Weekly Nightfall Strikes can now award nine or more Strange Coins and maps on the player-versus-player rotation for Control, Clash and the returning Iron Banner now include The Anomaly, Asylum and The Burning Shrine.

Iron Banner will be starting from today, it has good incentives this time around. The legendary chest for Warlock looks sick with that wolf emblem too bad its level 31 only :( Bungie Y U DO DIS!!?!?!?!?

The sniper and the hand Cannon (Timurs Lash, highest impact weapon) with re-rollable perks looks enticing. I didn't partake in a single match last IB this time I might just jump in as I need a good set of Gauntlets as the raid ones which I got last night has got shit stats which messes up my whole build. I would have to grind my good PvP weapons to 331 as I didn't bother with any exotic other than Ice Breaker and Ghorn after the DLC reset.

@USUF good to see you got to experience the raid, I had this awesome run last night as well. I was left alone near the abyss bridge part with a dozen thralls behind me....I plopped one ball of fire on the ground, turned around and fixed one bullet and thanks to the Fatebringer that one shot was enough to wipe the entire hoard of em. Half of the group which was waiting at the back made their way near the bridge reviving up fallen team mates... fought the Ogres and made way into the light to try and cheese the next bridge part but that 1.40mb patch had almost cured the raid from the chronic cheese fest it was previously...

Well I already got the raid chest so I'm more than happy for the level 32 gauntlets! A few weeks ago I completed the raid, but only the Crota checkpoint. Not the best way to start my first raid but I couldn't pass up the opportunity for the rewards. And rewarded I was, with a Black Hammer and the Legendary raid ship.

Tonight I'll be finally taking Eris to level 3 and upgrading my Husk. I have multiple weapons in need of upgrades. Badjuju, Plan C, Husk, Invective and Dragon's Breath. Those 5000XP bounties of IB will be put to good use this time. This looks like one of the busiest Destiny weeks I'll ever have. So much to do, and such a cool nightfall to top it off.

The nightfall this week, it gets messy near the checkpoint part with those stealth Vandals and shielded shanks and Knight. Thankfully I got the upgraded version of Plan C from last night weeks nightfall... might just use that but I also have The Light of the Abyss (raid fusion) it has the best charge rate of all fusion rifles ... might go with that LDR 5001 seems like a good alternative as well as you'd need a sniper for the Fallen Walker.

I already have all the good exotics minus Red Death and a few exotic armour sets, hope to see the next dlc will not fuck us up in the back like they did with The Dark Below

I actually like that mess. It quickly turns into the most chaotic light show with a full fireteam. Plus it's hella dangerous this time because those snipers will melt through you with their Arc damage.

Iron Banner this time will be just as chaotic. With Anomaly, Burning Shrine and Asylum being thrown into the mix for the first time. I can't even imagine the bafoonery that will happen with 12 players on those maps. Itching to get home right now!

[h=2]Trolling Destiny players with the game's 'worst weapon'[/h]

"Like we've been telling you all along, this is hands down the single most devastatingly powerful firearm Bungie has ever cooked up. If anything, this gun is due for a serious nerf — better enjoy it while it lasts."
This is the text on the video that shows Destiny player The Legend Himself dominating in the Crucible with what is widely considered to be one of the worst guns in the game. What makes No Land Beyond such a garbage weapon?

"No Land Beyond is notoriously poor for PVE, due to low ammo and lackluster damage. It fares better in PVP, but the low ROF and reticle movement (while strafing) have significantly impacted its popularity," the Destiny database states.

It's a sniper rifle with an attack of 302/331, 19 rate of fire, 25 impact, range of 100, stability of 24 and reload of 62. It holds six shots.

Which is why the video is such a middle finger to everyone else in the community: If a player can dominate this easily with a terrible weapon, think of what they can do with a good one? Skillful editing helps, of course, but this is still a funny way to prove that it's the powers of the chef, not the ingredients, that matter in the end.

The Legend Himself also used the weapon to solo Crota's End, and I officially give up on this game. Y'all are crazy.

Destiny's Crota raid can still be cheesed, even after Bungie's latest round of fixes

Destiny developer Bungie dedicated most of the game's latest patch to fixing a host of exploits players had been using to cheat their way through The Dark Below's raid, Crota's End. But in this large-scale version of whack-a-mole game development, players find two new loopholes for every one that Bungie closes.

Digital Trends reports that it's still possible to cheese the first part of Crota's End, even after yesterday's patch. That sequence tasks players with traversing the Abyss, an area deep below the Moon's surface enveloped in near-total darkness. Ten lamps light the way, although each one explodes a short time after a player approaches it. Enterprising Destiny players had figured out that by standing in the right spot near the second lantern, the explosion's shock wave would send them flying to safety. The exploit allowed them to bypass a decent chunk of the Abyss, and more importantly, enemies would no longer spawn continuously near them, so they could waltz to the end unmolested.

"Pillars of Light no longer launch players into the air when they explode," said Bungie in the patch notes for yesterday's Destiny hotfix. It turns out that neither the lamps nor the explosions matter.

A post-patch video from YouTube user Jon Doe illustrates that it's possible to jump from the original cheese spot directly to the top of a nearby wall. You just need to be playing as a Gunslinger Hunter with maximum agility and be using a weapon that offers the Lightweight perk, which further boosts agility by two. From there, you can proceed as before, with no Thralls to worry about until reaching the battle at the end of the Abyss.

The moral of the story? For all of Bungie's efforts, the studio's adversarial relationship with Destiny players will continue. For more on how to maximize your Destiny playtime, check out our latest guide.
