Yep we have been doing weeklies and will try the nightfall tonight as well. The reward system has gotten some much needed improvements.

This weekend, Xur is hanging out near the three job specific vanguard vendors in the back of the Tower.

He is offering up a helmet (Helm of Saint-14) for Titans, a helmet (Achlyophage Symbiote) for Hunters, and a pair of gloves (Sunbreakers) for Warlocks. As for this week’s weapon, Xur has the Red Death, a popular pulse rifle that heals you after each kill. In addition, Xur has an exotic helm engram purchasable for 23 motes of light.

Alright so I was able to farm 32 Bloom spirits on Venus... Finally on Level 25... But in order to upgrade the helm i need around 18 Ascendant shards and another 48 Spirit Blooms.... Should I be spending that much on a legendary helm or wait for exotic helm and spend on that.... Also whats the easiest way of getting these ascendant shards ?

Last night was particularly interesting.

I was patroling venus. Came across a person who immediately invited me. At that moment I was open to do whatever, so I joined him. Turns out he was from the middle east (the region-wise matchmaking is really great). So we're starting to blabber and kill aliens and lo and behold a public event starts - Stop the Vex from sacrificing themselves to a conflux which spawned right in the center of the area.

But wait. 2 more randoms just entered the area. We're now 4. No wait, 5! No, 7! Seven guardians just dropped right in the middle of the most chaotic battle I've yet seen. Total bonkers it was. 3 minutes of nothing but madness, explosions and shit. I wish I could have had the composure to record that event. But it was amazing. I've noticed as more guardians occupy an area, the game spawns larger enemies and more quantity of Ultras and Majors.

Anyhoo, played till 3AM last night with the dude and his buddies. Definitely one of the most memorable nights.

Oh and I BOUGHT Red Death from Xur last night!

Online is fun once you have reached Level 20. Matchmaking is pathetic to say the least so be prepared to lose alot before you can establish your footing. Otherwise, you will get pummeled by those who have already leveled up like crazy. So, in a way, you will feel the need to play the bare-bones story that there is to complement the multiplayer experience.

Don't let that cloud your judgement, though. The online does have its appeal.

Its a blast to play online bro ! but you need to invest in some time leveling up. Play through the campaign , by the end you`ll be at 18-20 level

Destiny has seen a number of post-release patches, and the latest update will focus on matchmaking and multiplayer features. The patching process will begin at 7 a.m. Pacific time, and will take the game offline for several hours.


This is what will be fixed, according to the official blog post:

• Added more data logging for matchmaking systems
• Improved connectivity failure handling to reduce beaver (Kick To Orbit events) KTOs
• Improved logging of player disconnections
• Internal tools fixes to speed up our release process
• Fixes to the roster system to allow us to tune the frequency of roster updates on Xbox One
• Fixed a bug that allowed users to quick scope on some weapons

There will also be fixes to the security of the server, along with improvements to the overall speed of the servers. You can read our review to see if Destiny is for you, or dive into the post level-20 leveling system.

As lowresolution correctly puts it, it will depend on how much time you spend exploring the planets and collecting llot as well as killing enemies. Each of those things reaps rewards so it could take anywhere from a week to half a month.
