I have had some awesomely funny experiences with tableedhi jammat ppl.
To be honest. Respect them follow them if u can. And if u cant just keep it with ur ownself. Its we who need them. They dont need us they are already chosen one and blessed
we should give due respect to everyone. period.
I disagree to the second part though.
Yes, they need us.
No one is chosen ones in our society, not religiously, not politically or not in any other way.
Judge every person on individual level.
Allah has given you a brain, use it!

They regularly come to my home, I respect them and the work they are doing, I always listen to what they say... Giving few minutes of our life to someone who is doing good things for Islam in humble way ain't a bad thing in my opinion.

This thread is now straying into Mirkwood, and that is a dark place where you can lose your sense of direction.

just speak truth.
there is no harm for giving them real reason of not going with them , they will only insist u to some level beyond that they wont force you, if they feel that you are not convinced for their invitation they will simply go away ,this is what i have experienced so far.

Thanks them for honoring a visit to you.
Tell them their message has been received, understood and acknowledged.
Further tell them that right now are stuck with a hardware issue of your PC.
And that you will try to join them later, inshallah.

Well......ALHAMDULILLAH...m a tableeghi and also a gamer :) walking on the way of religion doesn't ask you to just leave everything and just sit at the corner and don't do anything but it asks you to enjoy your life on earth in the way that ALLAH wants........so be good to Tableeghi people :D

It is tough time to face 5 people at your door step, mostly aged ones with long beard, having tasbeeh in their hands and inviting you to join them just for few minutes and that too not for any difficult task but to offer prayer in the masque which is otherwise mandatory in our religion. Its difficult to get yourself bailed out easily and if you could, still lot of embarrassment. And if you join them, it might take few hours and they will further try to convince you for a "Sehroza" (3 days tour for tableegh).

well that's the masla right there y some ppl just run away from them.
They come with a whole package of initiation into thier clan ... deen mein mehnat karen, ek chilla lagayen, sehroza ... i dont know what else.

If only they could say : we dont want anything from you, other than the fact that we r trying to convey Allah's message to everyone ... cuz it's in our nature to forget, and it's a reminder for not only you, but for us as well. If u r interested in knowing what Allah has communicated to us, why He has put you here, and want to know Him better ... why dont u give it a try and visit us for 15-20 mins on Sunday for a discussion? or an initial meetup to see how we can make sense of all this?

I mean something like that ... talking to a person's intellect instead of automatic tape recording.
It shud b an intellectual/emotional journey to God, instead of some series of steps with no soul in it.

I've been to many tableeghi gatherings, and it's kinda just some tableeghi sahib saying the same things over n over again.

One fine gathering, I was shocked to find the maulvi sahib at first telling the fadaail of tableegh, and then immediately after saying : who will answer this call of God & His Prophet (SAW) and join us ? Who will work for God & His Prophet (SAW)?
I mean ... it sounded like if we dont join, we'd end up in hell or sumthng.

As I said earlier, I dont like at all this ghernay wala style ... I'd rather listen to some Alim who takes me to God, than a tableeghi sahib who takes me to a chilla :)

Yes. You are right. Very well portrayed. One might not be in a position to join the "mehnat" exercise but when the ask will you join us for the sake of Allah, it places him in a real fix. Banda neki kare nah kare, inkaar kar ke gunahgaar zaroor ho jata ha.

every Muslim in this World is Daayi -

Daayi means woh jo ISLAM doosray logoon ko batayay aur un tak yeh ILM ki baat pohonchayay

to is kay lihaaz say yeh hamara FARZ hai keh ISLAM ki tableegh aur Ashaat main hissa lain

Lekin MAGAR aaj kal kuch aisi batain bhi sunni gayi hain keh yeh Talibaan Ki Jamaat hoti hai

SACH or Jhoot Dono ho sakti hai yeh baat

se got this group of tableeghi people in our dorms and they go about on their gasht all the time. i got annoyed of it when they came the night before my finals so I politely told them , "I'm sorry if i offend you, but i do not wish to be visited for tableegh anymore. you people know its a waste of your time trying to convince someone as stubborn as me, and you know i will lie and tell you inshallah i'll come for the lecture..........." long story short they stopped visiting.

Once Hazrat Ali RA visted a mosque in his Period of khilaphat , he saw a group of people in mosque (Not local with their bags etc.),telling muslims about Nimaz. Hazrat called their "ameer" and asked him difference b/w "nuskh" and "nasikh " ayat, ameer had no knowledge of it so he said so ,upon listening this Hazrat asked "nimazis" to throw thier bags out of mosque and said "HE WHO DONT HAVE COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF ISLAM CANT PREACH ISLAM"
