2 critical spikes when the level starts. Besides that some barley noticable (FreeSync enabled) spikes >30ms. Subjectively speaking, the game doesn't have stuttering issues.
Can you read the highlighted, bolded, underlined, italicized? That is what Alex was addressing. CapFrame's subjective statement. If you could read english properly, or had taken the time to, you could've saved yourself the embarrassment.

Its 12ms and that's how the tool has always worked. Maybe you should've taken the time to understand it first.

Not as per Capframex's subjective opinion while playing a game. All frame time variances above 12ms will be stutters. The tool still accounts for that. 🤦‍♂️

The red line depends on the moving average frame time.
There is a base value, as per your graph. What's that?

Any delta between frames >12ms will be a stutter. Alex mentioned 12ms for a reason 🤷‍♂️
lmao Alex didn't mention 12 ms as a delta value. He just gave an example that the frame time spiking from 12 ms to 35 ms (23 ms variance) is an obvious stutter, and it is. But he didn't suggest that a frame time spike from 8.33 ms to 19 ms isn't noticeable 🤷‍♂️

12 ms wasn't mentioned as a variance in Alex's tweet. He didn't define a threshold, because it's entirely dependent on the delta between two frame times, unlike capframex who clearly has defined one (the base red line) 🤷‍♂️

What if the max display refresh rate is 240 Hz. For the games that run at arbitrary frame rates, will a frame time spike from 4.16 ms to 19 ms (~15 ms) be accounted for by capframex? Does the app set the threshold according to the lowest achievable frame time on a display? 🤷‍♂️

A frame time variance from 8.33 to 19 ms (11.33 ms) is not a stutter based on this, despite the value being more than doubled 🤷‍♂️

It's not the delta that needs to be twice lmao. A delta of 11.33 ms is noticeable when targeting 120 fps.

Just as a spike from 16.66 ms to above 33.33 ms (a delta of ~17 ms or higher) is noticeable when targeting 60 fps.

Here's an example of a console game running stutter-free at 120 fps (max noted frame time is 16.67 ms). V-synced game obviously, so if it were to spike, it'd go to 33.33 ms.


Tell me when you can run Dead Space at 120 fps on PC without crossing frame times of 16.67 ms (heck, even without crossing 33.33 ms) 🤷‍♂️ :LOL:

When looking at frame rates. But I hardly pay attention to the frame rate stats anymore. Alex and VG Tech are doing a good job of focusing on the right performance metric i.e. frame times :LOL:🤜

A relatively consistent frame time delivery is what I'm after :LOL:🤜

Also, 0.2% se ziada, since frame time variances of above 8.33 ms at 120 fps aren't considered stutters by capframex 🤷‍♂️ :LOL:

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
