The revival is reportedly developed by Electronic Arts’ Motive studio, which also developed the October 2020-released Star Wars: Squadrons.

Gematsu has also separately heard that a Dead Space revival is in the works at Motive, which is said to be a reimagining rather than a sequel to the existing trilogy.

Yar Alan Wake was so ahead of its time back then. I dont think the game mechanics would have aged so well over time given how simple they were. But the writing and the visual fidelity of that game was unparalleled compared to games of that time.

I don't have the time stamp on me right now, but notorious leaker Jeff Grubb was on the Giant Bombcast this week and he said that EA looked at Capcom's success with RE2make and want to do the same with Dead Space.

So that sounds fucking amazing all round.

I played both DS 1 and 2 on xbox like a year ago and honestly they have aged quite well, at least for me.

It's not just about aeging. A new game, or a full remake, has the potential to sell a lot more than a simple remaster.

ME Trilogy Remaster did spectacular cause there was demand for it unlike anything else, and the positive reception did lead them to announce a new ME project as well.

I have to imagine if EA is smart, they would announce this remake project and also a Trilogy remaster which releases much sooner.

Unless the 'remake' is a complete reimagining not just a remake of the same plot/concept.
