In Crysis the "very high” settings had been DirectX 10 exclusive. In Crysis Warhead this has been changed.

As we interviewed Bernd Diemer, the producer of Crysis Warhead, he confirmed that the "very High” settings are renamed to "Enthusiast” and will be available for DirectX 9, too.

Bernd Diemer: The former "very high2 settings are now called "enthusiast” and this option is now available for DX9, too. We removed this exclusiveness and thought: If people want to run this on their system, why should we restrict it?​

PCGH: So there are no visual differences between the DX9 and DX10 version anymore?

Bernd Diemer: If the system can display it, because it has the performance, this is right.​

Agreed there, DX10 didn't make a very huge difference but I assume they are working harder with DX9 now, since they don't have to worry about DX10 anymore.

about time they realized....now with XP and more optimization I guess my card might take warhead to high with smooth frame rates...

Xp is just better for older games and people with slower machines prefer to use it. If you've used Vista with a new PC, you'd realize how awesome it is. With that said, it has nothing to do with this game.

Anyway this is not a good turn If they wana do this they have to done it before in Crysis

vista has eye candy and some security tweaks thats about it....And XP always gives better performance in gaming...

^Yeah thats true.....nd sometimes some games not running on vista runs on XP.

There is not much difference between 9 nd 10...
