So ummm me and a couple of friends are doing a survey about the Pakistani market. I saw some headphone enthusiasts in the headphones thread.
If you won't mind please answer a few questions. I urge all the mods + members to participate as you would be really helping me out. :)

  • 1. What's the maximum you'll be willing to pay for headphones?

  • 2. Would you pay for headphones with more quality than the ones you have right now?

  • 3. Does sound quality matter to you?

  • 4. Do you know what is a headset's soundstage, range, other technical terms etc etc?

  • 5. Would you buy headphones primarily for gaming, or music?

  • 6. What sort of setup would you run these headphones on? (theater, iPod, mp3, stereo, PC, etc etc)

  • 7. Apart from headphones, what other audio components do you use?

  • 8. Where do you buy your audio peripherals/gadgets/components?

Please help me out. I'd really appreciate it.

EDIT: added 7 and 8.

1. What's the maximum you'll be willing to pay for headphones?
2000 PRK

2. Would you pay for headphones with more quality than the ones you have right now?
No

3. Does sound quality matter to you?
Yes. Has to very clear because I listen to a lot of ebooks, lectures and audio shows.

4. Do you know what is a headset's soundstage, range, other technical terms etc etc?
Yes

5. Would you buy headphones primarily for gaming, or music?
Music, only in transit and at work

6. What sort of setup would you run these headphones on? (theater, iPod, mp3, stereo, PC, etc etc)
ipod, phone when traveling, PC when at work.

7. Apart from headphones, what other audio components do you use?
5.1 Speakers setup at home.

8. Where do you buy your audio peripherals/gadgets/components?
SONY center, Overstock.com, Apple Media Center.

TECHNICAL BITS:
I use a SONY MDR series headphone at work. I keep it because the headset at my desk is a A4TECH which has crap quality.

I prefer headphones with less adjustment options. Too many adjustable parts just make it difficult.

For transit, traveling I keep a SONY earphones set. In-ear headphones with very soft cushions that don't hurt the ears even after hours of continuous usage. Easy to clean as well and the quality, though it does NOT have very deep base, it is clear.

1: Depends on my budget, at this moment in time, I won't be willing to go further than 6k.

2: No, cause I have the best in my price range. Maybe later, when I've saved up more money.

3: Yes, it does. But I wouldn't get something that sounds like angels singing in heaven if it'll kill my ears after only a few minutes of usage.

4: Yes, I do.

5: No, cause I'm on a budget, so right now, I'll prefer a do it all headphone.

6: Laptop, mp3 player.

7: Car audio system, 2.1 desktop speakers.

8: No specific place.

If I have the cash.

3. Does sound quality matter to you?

Yes.

4. Do you know what is a headset's soundstage, range, other technical terms etc etc?

Yes, not an audiophile though.

Music, I hardly game.

On my sig rig, Macbook or Galaxy S II, hunting for a Fiio E5 or E6 in reasonable price.

7. Apart from headphones, what other audio components do you use?

5.1 Edifier M3500 (Good Bass but terrible sound stage)

8. Where do you buy your audio peripherals/gadgets/components?
