COre 2 duo E8400 vs Core 2 quad Q6600?

i m getting the whole pc for 20k only the difference is i m getting e8400 with gt 420 n 4gb ram
and i m getting the q6600 with 9500gt with 2 gb ram
and i m getting the q6600 with 9500gt with 2 gb ram
e8400 or q6600 will perform almost same as games are now more gpu dependent so invest in gpu and the processor which is cheap . Ram should be atleast 4gb
For this setup 20K is expensive.. 9500gt or gt 420 wont do anything they would just suck your money with no performance...it would be better to use Motherboard VGA for the time period..(until you have budget to get used something like 4850/4870/9600gt/9800/gts 250)

I think the latest games are better with quad-core. 3 years ago, E8400 would have been the better choice but I dont think it is the situation now.

You are better off going to the market and get a used AMD Athlon X2 6000+ (Branded) System w/ 4GB RAM (will have atleast 160GB HDD) for less than 10k. Put a GPU worth of 1500 Rupees in it (8600GT) and you'll have a better gaming system at your disposal.

On the contrary, i think you should opt for newer generation, for which you'll have to stretch your budget a little more. Post #9 in this thread is a very good example of it.

Both pro's r almost outdated and both performs almost same in gaming .... try to buy i3 sandy or ivy

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
