Yes! I am using this mod on my C2Q Q8200 + GTX 260 @ stock speeds. FPS do drop as expected but its not too much. I think its only 5-8fps max. But keep one thing in mind it does effect the performance of the game
If you have Dirt 2 with u, can u run it's benchmark at these settings:
Resolution:1280x1024 or 1440x900(Which ever u could do easily)
Anti-aliasing:4xMSAA
Rest Settings: Go to graphic options, underneath the resolution refresh rate and Vsync, their would be written "Choose Preset", go in it and select High along with Above Settings;
Run the benchmark and please let me know that how much fps u get on average...thanks!
AOA, just wanted to ask you some things , if you dont mind!
First of all, what is the resolution of your LCD?Are you able to max out every game out there with max possible setting and AA with your HD4770 with smooth fps?
How much FPS u get at max setting, AA and resolution in following games:
Splinter Cell Conviction
Split Second
Dirt 2
Blur
Far Cry 2
Crysis Warhead
Assassins Creed 2
Modern Warfare 2
No body can give you this guaranty because nothing is future proof in computer industry but its just my prediction that this setup will run every maybe not maxed out but it will will run every game for 2 years at least (THIS IS JUST MY PREDICTION) and ya you r right e6300 at 333fsb mean 3.5 ghz perform same as e8600 look at this benchmarks http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&articID=945
E6300 OCed to 3.5ghz(performs on par with E8600 at this clock)
p5kpl-cm
4GB ram
9800GT for now but will change time to time!!
HOW MUCH YEARS WILL THIS SYSTEM SUFFICE PROVIDED THAT I WANT TO MAX OUT GAMES AT 1024x768 resolution and will change the GPU!?
How will a very fast core 2 duo(like 3.6ghz) perform , in front of slow quad (like 2.6ghz), in terms of FPS, while the game they both are tested in, is fully optimized for 4 cores.
And sure the 10400F is a good buy, performance is near identical. But the K model is OC'able for some extra juice. Not sure if that worth anything to anyone.
