You should know about your connection mate, its speed etc.

How do you connect to internet?
If you have a ptcl modem at your home then you have "LAN/TI GREATER THAN 1M".
If you connect to internet with your telephone cable then its "MODEM 56K".
If you have a cable internet then "LAN/TI GREATER THAN 1M"

All the other internet connections are obsolete so a safe bet would be "DSL-GREATER THEN 256K" ...

I think that has nothing to do with the error of playing a game on a network or online

i intalled the steam but now ho do i play counter strike condition zero with my friends

you can play it with them on the same LAN quite easily....just select the LAN tab and create a game and make the others search for your game.
on the other hand if you want to play on the internet then have a look at this
