cmputer science vs engineering (intermediate)

assalamualaikum

can you guys pls tell me the fields which i can choose after computer science??
i don't like engg of intermediate because of chemistry but someone was telling me that fields in computer science are very limited and competition is very tough...
can i do computer engineering after doing computer science??

It depends on your future career, if you want to do computer engr then yes it can be done with computer science but if you are looking to become Electrical engr, textile engr etc then Science subjects are needed.

computer sciences is not a small field, it depends what you want to do in your advanced studies like in masters, because at that point you are kind of finished with studies and set for a certain field,

google for careers in computer sciences and ask around to get a better idea of what you should do or not do, check the links below maybe thay will help you

CS is a bubble in pakistan which can burst any time. Go for Intermediate pre-engineering.

Afterwards, you can get a CS degree. And if that does not work, you shall be able to get an engineering (for instance, Telecommunication Eng.) degree.

creek collage was very impressive and fully air conditioned. dha was fine but after creek collage it was not impressive... dha is like "aajao aajao" koi conditions nahi hain. but still not bad

what are your opinions?? not ncr because they are not providing indoor games and sports etc.

Bro, go for whatever interests you the most.
Though, by opting computer science you will be narrowing down the scope if compared to Engineering.
If you have long awaited plans to go abroad and do some job there then you might be on the right track but do remember, if you aren't sure about what to do next then Engineering would keep you on the safe side.

Do you know that software houses are enjoying tax relief these days? As soon as the privilege is withdrawn, the current mushroom growth of companies shall halt for good. And same shall happen with so called institutions (colleges, universities and stuff). Have you forgotten what happened with electrical engineering segment?

you can do electrical engineering in certain universities in Pakistan with the combination of Physics,Mathematics and Computer Science as a subject in your intermediate/a levels.So chemistry isn't an issue,I myself didn't like chemistry and did the same,try COMSATS and look into other universities that give you this option aswell.Best of luck...

but now all my friends are going for pre engg so i will also go for it. but is there any disadvantage of pre engg as compare to computer science??

People said same about MBA. Still people are doing it even after doing engineering degrees.

now no need for MBA for engg students coz there is new course 4 thm n thats is Engg. Manigement.

do not even think about doing Computer Science in Intermediate EVEN If u r hell bent on doing Bachelors in Computers in the future. Intermediate is only to decide Medical vs Rest and u fall in the "Rest" Category simply do Pre Engineer After that u can choose to do bachelors in ANY Field u want from BBA to BE to CS Everything Except Medical so its my advice to not restrict ur self to just CS in Inter and keep ur options open
