What about people discriminating against each other in the name of religion itself? Or is that the West's fault too?
i dont blame this on the West
what West's fault is ...its their own fault and what our fault is ..its our own fault
there is no discrimination in Islam or Jinnah's created country (which itself was found on the basis of Islam)

although i dont actually get where your pointing in discriminating each other in the name of religion maybe a bit elaboration would be good ?

i am just saying why is this happening to me in my own country? it could be understandable in the west but here ? in pakistan?
then how can you blame islam for our problems and not blame ourselves for not following islam correctly?
had islam been implemented here nobody would have been discriminated ..beard or no beard
i dont *SEE* islam here brother

have you seen junaid jamshed recently ?
i am not pointing a finger at him since his matter is with his God and may Allah forgive him if he is truly sincere but to bring your attention to the tableeghi jamaat and likewise organizations working for the cause of islam only to get a taste of the foreign countries picnic and sair sapata by doing "gasht" (something to do with religious travel for tableegh)
see how the representatives of islam are misrepresenting the deen?

i do not intend to spark any fire for tableeghi jamaat lovers or members ..there are alot of good people in it too and i know them so dont debate me on this
just a hint to the situation in our country for so called "islamic people" who only have a soft spot for everything
everything will be forgiven right? you can do zina and then do astaghfaar and do zina and astaghfaar and so on drink alcohol and still pray? Allah will forgive you but not like this if you dont intend to stop this completely and are not sincere in your repentance
that is why i do not like tableeghi jamaat they are just okay with everything they dont plan on stopping any fahaash in newspapers or the televisions or anywhere
they just are here for dhikr dhikr dhikr
everything is good ya sheikh just let him do it
"mast rakho dhikr o fikr e subaah gaahi may issay
pukhta tar kardo mizaaj e khaanqaahi may issay"
Let me tell you this Allah does destroy a nation when sins continue to grow in it and nobody puts a stop to it
even the people who are not involved in the sin are destroyed
its just a matter of time ...Allah is giving us a chance dont loose it just for pornography or your fahaashi desires

I was looking through some of the Facebook and Twitter comments and I was truly astonished to see some of the teenagers calling it a "tragic love story". I mean do they even have a common sense? WTF!

reminds me of shakespeare LOL
remember him from 7th grade english literature ? XD
what a tragic love story the world didnt let them live in peace so they killed each other and lived happily ever after in Paradise LOL
might be a good story for disney channel...not so much if you live in reality and radical-ness :p

Being a true pakistani i will make sure that day never arrives my friend :shifty::dance4::dance4: dont you worry
I don't blame you bro. All Pakistani men need Islam (or at least parts of it) to cement their place in this society :)

And that day will arrive because the majority will want it to. No one like being oppressed.

as surprising as it may seem the school where i am studying only i seem to be the only person with no "girl" to hang around by my side  so you could say that i am the only one isolated from the society of teenagers ...so i dont give a rats poop about society since it has been flawed to the extent :)
society has these norms that you must finish education in order to get married whereas my view coincides with islam that you have a desire and are young so you might as well get married to save yourself from sin even if you are 18 ..................and now i am 20 and still not married...imagine that
sadly the society has already made the shift to so called "modern" practices which means...having girlfriend is cool and if you dont have that then you are a loser ( i dont think of that myself infact i am thankful i was saved from this illusion)...doing drugs is cool ( mostly cigarette and sheesha here)....disrespecting elders and your parents is cool...swag is cool .....the less clothes you wear the more modern you are ...and the most common which i noticed around my classmates that you must say the word "bhenc**&$" with every sentence that comes out from your mouth...i mean it is absolutely necessary with everything you say for example
"Ohh yaar men uss din falan restaurant gaya bhenc**** kia khaana tha yaar"
"yaaar aala shughal lagay ga bhenc*** Munic may "
"ohhh yaar men raat ko soraha tha behnc*** light chali gayi MC wapda phir maa k l**** machar nay kaata mujhay :/ " ( sad story dude but serves you right!)
"bhen**** bachi check kar yaar uff scene on karwa day yaaaaar"
now this is just my observation i see this everywhere believe it or not or call me mad but i dont like it one bit....thats why i am not a part of it and rather not be a part of it....ever... may Allah save me and all of us
so this my friend is society and i only care about islam and reforming the society and taking these stupid ideas of nudity out from their mind
i could care less about society and their superstitious beliefs
people dont give their daughters in hand for marriage if you have a beard now (trust me i tried) let alone you are islamic
everyone wants to be monkeys now as i have stated before and the shift of society has already taken place
the society in which i am living is far from what you are describing and totally opposite ......it is more West centered than Islam centered ......i am not bragging i am from the elite class ....its just how things are around me and my school and no one seems to have the view which i have and even the teachers say to me
"Jaanay do na bhai karnay do ussay tumhaara kia jaraha hai?" thats the point after which i am bound by complete silence
i personally think that this co education thing should end but it most likely seems to be rapidly expanding far and wide as new modern education centers spring up ( and i am a part of one too )
education itself is not bad....just the point of girls and boys studying together is bad as emotions are involved and we are all human beings so it creates problems for both genders...there should be a separation ...if our millionaire owner of school can open 4 campuses within 20 km radius in which the same teachers are teaching due to their expertise (they teach in 3 ) then she might as well reserve one campus for boys and one campus for girls to provide both with equal opportunity and separation but instead
she chooses to put both in the same campus and mix it all up in the 4 campuses

to respond to you last line "no one likes being opressed " well then let me tell you one thing ...this deen (way of life ) was sent down from your Creator for you to follow for your own benefit and if you think it is oppression then i wish that you are out of this oppression ASAP if not instantly ....soon you will come to know who is the real oppressor of the minds (hint ...starts with D ends with L or starts with an I ends with an S)

West has the idea that there is no absolute truth whereas
God has said in the first verses of the quran
"Verily in this Book there is no doubt"
so dont be one of those who doubt without giving any proof...bring your proof if you are truthful

There Is No Truth - YouPak.com
You post detracts from the issue at hand. Wearing less clothes, smoking, having gfs etc etc. wasn't being discussed here. I simply stated that majority of the Pakistani men look down upon women to feel good about themselves. The west used to be the same way not so long ago, and in some ways it still is but they have advanced as a society, as people. The same will happen here.

As for having gfs and wearing less clothes... That has nothing to do with this. Nor does having a gf have any relation with being disrespectful towards someone or doing drugs. I've never done any sort of drugs, or insulted anyone unnecessarily.

Now onto your Deen point. The oppression I spoke of wasn't that of the 'Deen' where you're told to do something under the threat of hell (do this or you'll burn in hell). The oppression I was talking about is that of women by men :) Islam ki baat karain to phir to men have also been given a set of rules, very strict ones which no one seems to give a fuck about.
And as for proof.. I'm a muslim by birth so.. I'll just say this. If someone does say xyz is wrong in book abc and here's proof.. Followers would say fuck this proof, science has been wrong before lets wait 200 years :)

No the West has said no such thing. Setting aside your inability to see half the world as a diverse community with very different cultures, values, beliefs and just grouping them into one, you make claim upon claim without anything to back them up. The question of whether there is an absolute truth or not, is a philosophical one, the West i.e. 4 billion people have no consensus opinion on it.

Your posts are testament to how dangerous naive people can be. Thats all.

Disagreeing from another opinion doesn't make him dangerous or naive for that matter. At least he has something of an opinion which speaks of diversity in itself.
@vergiluchiha If I may ask, separating sexes would be the solution of the all the ills that have been repeated in this thread? I mean you are just sticking to one point whereby defaming the western system of education which I think speaks volume of having equal opportunities for both men and women rather than confining male counterpart to institution which sometimes does not offer education that is equivalent.
Similarly, I have seen and know of Girls colleges which are lot worse in terms of ill doings in comparison to co-ed colleges. What would you say about them?

He is repeating what he is taught. Most people would never question their teaching from authority. Its a materialist approach to religion. This approach has no common sense, just a legalistic approach. People who know god, project his calm, understanding demeanor. People who don't know God but follow deen, can't project that. For they are not familiar with it. Rules don't end problems they temporarily stop it. The real change cones when you change as a person. Then you don't need to separate girls and boys. Temptation doesn't come from outside from girls, it comes from within you. Legalistic people will always point finger to girls because they won't change themselves. The real gid fearing change comes only when you don't have lust in your heart even when there is a girl with you. That is the change which god asks.

Marriage is not the way to appease your lust, its a sin if you do it like that.

And whoever told you to marry so that you could deal with lust is ignorant at best. This is the height of being in selfish to marry someone to appease your sinful needs.

Change the man inside you. Lust comes from your heart and makes you blind. Instead of marrying you need to stop coveting woman. That is why people who lust always lust even after they are married.

This case is more about lack of counseling and confused identity than religion in my opinion. If the parents were ignorant enough to let a teenager steal a gun from under their noses and commit suicide than there was no way they would have known if the teenagers had established a physical relationship. But these kids apparently didn't want a physical relationship. They wanted a romanticized bollywood version of a love story and a more permissive society wouldn't have solved this problem. Plus if religion was stopping them from a physical relationship then it was also stopping them from suicide which is an equally serious sin in Islam but they didn't care about that part. In my opinion this is more about confused teens and lack of guidance rather than the religious or social repression of our society.

Every person on this planet has an opinion, that's kind of the problem.
