Platforms: PS3™, Xbox 360®
Release Date: TBC
Rating: TBC
Developer: Cyber Connect 2
Publisher: Capcom

With unprecedented levels of dynamism, drama and interaction, Asura’s Wrath™ will deliver a fresh take on the action gaming genre. Once a revered deity, Asura was betrayed by his fellow gods and stripped of all his powers. Consumed by anger at the injustice he has suffered and swearing vengeance, Asura discovers he can use this fury to his advantage and turn it against his enemies. Cue relentless action as Asura finds himself facing off against numerous unique enemies, including planetary sized bosses, unleashing devastating and visceral attacks. Asura’s Wrath loses the traditional distinction between gameplay and cutscenes through seamless player controlled narrative. Simply put, even in cinematic sequences the player can control Asura, directly affecting the gameplay, making Asura’s Wrath a truly unique experience.

Features
• New type of action game – Asura’s Wrath will seamlessly blend action and narrative and will adopt an episodic nature, more akin to a TV drama series.
• Relentless action – Asura’s Wrath keeps placing gamers in tight situations and says ‘now get out of that.’
• What the…? – Unique enemies and planetary sized bosses will continually challenge players’ expectations.
• Innovative setting and story – Fusing Asian mythology with sci-fi, Asura’s Wrath’s universe will be truly unique.
• Collaboration with CyberConnect2 – Continues Capcom’s strategy of partnering with the best developers to produce titles to complement its own internal projects.
Seems way way far away from release :/

Hmm this is the first I have seen/heard of this title since E3. Capcom have a ton of stuff under their sleeve. This could be fun provided its not a GOW clone.

^ It look like a GOW of the East, but I'd like to give Eastern mythology a spin any time. No gameplay vids yet, here's hoping for E3?

Who cares if it's a GOW clone or not! Some hack and slash is gurranted and the best part is that it shall be available for 360 too. Maybe us the 360 owners will be available to get something good like GOW :). I have this feeling that this game will be epic :).

^ Or, let's see it in a positive light; another western ass-kissing from capcom. What a stupid idea. It's a complete rip off of GOW. Is this and that lame WRPG clone all they got this gen? Along with the rerelease of old games, dolled up to be at HD level. Pathetic.

I've always loved towering bosses in video games but Asura's Wrath puts everyone to shame. I hope it does more than just being another God of War clone.

One thing's been pissing me off; I don't think it's scientifically possible for that giant finger dude's finger to get heated up as it enters the planet's atmosphere. I mean, the sheer size of that thing would disperse the atmosphere and keep it from burning up.

Yes, that gets me and the six armed dude doesn't, he's believable.

Why the hell science matters in such games :p
Anyways, since it is from the developer of Naruto Ninja Storm 2, i have high hopes from this game. Really loved Ninja Storm 2 :)

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Gradually transitioning from console gaming to PC as the games are not worth it. 6 hours of Hellblade 2 is just not worth the $50 price tag.
Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
