Can't Connect to Xbox Live Service [resolved]

I have not been able to connect with xbox live services for past 5 hours or more even though xbox live service itself is working properly. I am on ptcl when I do xbox live test it shows that my console can connect to my internet but when it comes to xbox live it fails. There is no point in looking for a help from those Jahil ptcl helpline douchbags because they wouldn't understand what my problem actually is. So, is your console connecting to XBL Service or not?

Same here.. Problem is with ptcl dns servers i guess. Can any non-ptcl user confirm if they are also facing the same problem?

yea because all XBL status checker website says its working normal... no servers are down according to those websites.. may be its ptcl dns, not sure

I have the same problem, it started yesterday. My ISP is Fariya networks so I guess there's nothing wrong with PTCL.

I am having the same issues since last night. Xbox live connection error :S
I am on PTCL Nitro.
I have connect too.

My friends living outside of Pakistan have no problem with XBL.. Even if XBL is blocked in Pakistan I see no valid reason for blocking it?

P.s, I have tried all google solutions as well (clearing cache, etc) . None Worked

Yes it is not working in ISB aswell. XBL STORE gives me error while connecting. All other services seem to connect fine.

I think you all should report it @ptclcares twitter account. I have done so and he said we haven't blocked any ports for xbox live and will look into it. So if more people report the same problem then it would effect even more.

When I owned xbox 360 a year ago I got same issue and tried to configure my modem by using tcp/udp ports provided by xbox support, here is the link

Didn't work.. if these ports are blocked then XBL won't work

i don't knw if u guys remember this or not but this kinda happened an year or so before. PTCL was doing some server maintenance and shit which caused the dns to go haywire resulting in some website being unreachable. in my case xbox.com & XBL was affected too. people used google dns to fix that. u guys should try changing ur to google's through modem and then report. i would do that myself but feeling way too lazy to take out my console
