Only the professional level is available and here's what I get when I click next after choosing the only option:

Yea we wait for weeks at a time for their replies and what do we get? A couple of sentences that are absolutely useless.
Well if you find the time, try to go to the ICAEW exam applications portal and click 'apply online'... and just tell me what you see after that. is the advanced level application option open yet or not.
Im asking this because right now im only getting the option to apply for the professional paper of 'Business Planning: Taxation'. No option for advanced level. It culd be that ICAEW has not opened the application yet or it could be a technical error with my account. I just wana confirm that.

I get the professional level option too. But im eligible to sit the 'Business Planning: Taxation' paper of the professional level because im still on the old ACA scheme. I guess ill have to wait till the advanced level option opens. gaaah ICAEW!

Yea i read this too the other day. This is a little too good to believe if you ask me. An ACCA affiliate working over 7 CA's who have more experience than him and he has a 2000cc company car?!

Its implied that a guy in his position should have a certain caliber of professional behavior and the body language of this post does not demonstrate that even the slightest bit.
It looks like a blatant lie to falsely motivate the demotivated freshers about their future. and honestly its disrespectful to all those competent professionals who couldn't secure jobs in UAE due to very tough market conditions.

One can never know the criteria or standards these OBU examiners base their checking on.
A guy here in Lahore was failed because he had written the 'L' in 'Lucky cement' sometimes with a capital 'L' and sometimes with a lowercase 'l'

Do you guys think that ICAP's CA is not worth ruining one's lives and if one had applied all energies and hard work somewhere else than his life would have been much better ????????

Asalam-oa-laikum, Hope everybody's doing fine .

I am currently studying for my AFC level exams in September in accordance with the new CA education scheme. It consists of 4 papers;

1. Information Technology.
2. Business Communication.
3. Quantitative Techniques.
4. Functional English.

What I would like to know is that, what is the criteria for Merit ?. I heard that I have to attempt all the papers at once and clear them in 1st attempt to be eligible for it . I was hoping to give them in pairs ( 2 in September, then 2 in February ), will I still be eligible for Merit, If I take this route ?. Also, Is Merit given on a provincial base or national base and is there a limit on the number of Merit students from ICAP ( can there be more then 1 Merit holder ) ? .

Apart from that, I have one more ... glaring issue . It seems my negligence of Mathematics in my early years has finally come back to haunt me. I am having serious trouble adjusting to Q.T and due to it, my other subjects are being affected .

Can anyone guide me to some suitable video lectures and study text ? Thanks in advance.
