    Wouldn't it be better if I moved to England or any other place you could suggest for an MBA (do suggest which program specifically if you agree) and engaged in part-time study as I work alongside on the basis of my ACCA and the BSc.? This might just prove time-effective and cost efficient, and almost on equal footing with a CFA. It's an idea tossed to me by Pakiyoungster and it makes alot of sense to me at this stage. I checked University of Sunderland in London and University of Chester and both seem to cover the MBA courses within a year which sounds good. I just need to find places that are cheap in terms of cost and provide good quality education. I suppose my BSc would also count well in the UK; not sure about the Middle East if I went for an MBA there instead.

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks alot for your valuable input, Xzan23.I think I ll go ahead and hire the services of a mentor next session in that case and work for this OBU degree which is infact more relevant to the ACCA syllabus content instead of thinking of B.Comm.

    A tutor who teaches CFA suggested CFA rather than pursuing ICAEW upon claiming 12 paper exemptions after ACCA as he believes ACCA and ICAEW are really one and the same; it's us Pakistanis that make them sound so much apart. Another teacher thought he was being biased as he is a CFA tutor afterall. Now I am thinking what's the point of either one. CFA is going to take ages anyway, and I could get complete exemption from ICAEW once I am an ACCA member with 5 years of experience.

    That makes me wonder if there are credible, updated resources (free/cheap) out there that will enable me to get the job done on my own without the assistance of a mentor next session. You think that's possible? Could you quote any?

    Since these so-called mentors are rip=offs, a teacher recommended privately working through a Bachelors (be it BA/B.Com) and sit the exams after 6 months since she believes that won't be an issue for me. That kinda baffles me because BA isn't even close to the kind of content we study in the ACCA. B.Comm might be closer but the course spans 2 years for a reason, I thought. How could I possibly finish it in 6 months on my own and sit the exams? Perhaps that's why she suggested BA in the first place. Then again, that won't exactly say much about my skills if I combine that with my ACCA.

    Hello, Xzan. I have been asking this around so I thought you would also be the right person to ask for assistance in this regard.

    I will be attempting my final 3 ACCA papers next month, Inshallah. I just wanted to ask you if OBU degree is still worth a shot if my marks for the required fundamental exams average in the early 60s? Would it be a good idea to try and acquire the degree, regardless of what class I achieve (first, upper, lower, third) or should I only proceed if I am certain I will be able to achieve first or upper class?

    The institute where I study, the so-called mentors are rather poor with their own reading and writing skill so I don't suppose they will do a good job at actually 'mentoring' me. I bet a good amount of fee is charged by institutions for this kind of stuff so if I add this fee to what ACCA charges me, I am easily looking at an expense of Rs. 1 lac.

    Thank you SO much for such detailed responses. I am now going to go ahead and opt for the two classes and wait till I get the result before registering for the appropriate combination of papers. I hope to make the most of my time this time around so that I don't repeat the same mistakes that lead to uncertainty all over again.

    Or else I could continue with P3 tuition as well and attempt a total of 4 papers(F6,F9,P2 and P3).Do you think this is sensible/doable with that sort of combination? What approach would you suggest?

    Thanks for such an insightful response.I attempted F6, F9 and P1 in this sitting, having studied F9 and P1 on my own.Interestingly, I am not sure of my passing chances in either of the papers because of how casual I had been and I have really felt that I fail to organize myself if I am to study on my own.In light of this,I have decided to take classes for each and every paper from now on so that I can atleast keep my pace up and not leave stuff to cover for too late.

    Since I received a message from ACCA saying I could now attempt Professional exams (since only two papers were left from the Fundamentals stream ie.F6 and F9)I thought maybe I could start getting tuition for P2 and P3 and maybe add another paper later(in case I fail one of the three that I just attempted)but now that I am not exactly confident about either of them I am thinking maybe I should just take tuition for P2 to be on the safe side (for worst case-scenario where I fail F6 and F9).

    I hope you are doing well. I came here with a question, hoping you could hlp me with it.

    Firstly, does ACCA allow sitting professional exams (P2 and P3 ONLY) for students who have cleared all but 2 Fundamental exams (F6 and F9)? Secondly, I can't find any good trainers for paper P3 in my locality, so are you of the opinion that this particular paper is easy enough to be attempted on one's own (using OpenTuition notes and video lectures along with Kaplan Study Text and Exam Kit)? Thirdly, should I be attempting or, more appropriately, will I be allowed to attempt the thesis for OBU BSc degree once ALL​ Fundamental exams have been cleared?

    Well I have never checked my server on alteriw. But first thing you should do is check whether you server is showing up in the server list inside the game or not. To do that instead of joining your server first go inside the server list in the game and make sure your server is there. If its there then next thing that you should look for is what pings other people have on your server, the lower the better. If pings are alright the last thing is popularity of your server. If it offers less ping and you keep everything good for example gametype, maps etc and it remains online most of the time then more people would want to play on your server.

    If your server isn't showing in the list then that's an issue that unfortunately I cannot help you with cause it requires port forwarding and I don't know how to do it myself. I would recommend searching alteriw mw2 dedicated server section for help.

    Hmm is everyone facing this problem or only you? Ask one of your friends to come in the server and then try getting killstreaks just to confirm whether everyone is facing this problem or you only.

    To change the name you have to use the following command:
    sv_hostname
    give a space and then type you desired name.

    For killstreaks first check whether you have set them up yourself via the menu. Also I recommend that you visit alterIWnet • Modern Warfare 2 enhancements, dedicated servers and more and visit the mw2 section and download some simple rcon tool so that you dont have to minimize the game for different commands.

    Right now TG is working good..But alter will be more stable once it releases its beta..I suggest go for TG now and later on also put alter crack in it.

    I prefer Full Rip 13.6GB something...
    MP Rip 8GB one is also good but I think you can't find the torrent with good seed ratio. And it will take more time to download it.

    Yes. If the server is created properly and correct Ports are forwarded your server will be displayed at server list.


    BTW leave 2..Host a MW3 server :p..It is more fun than MW2.

    Actually the thing is that PK server's IPs are dynamic. They aren't same all the time as they were used to be in MW1.
    But here is a way via which I usually connect to Pakistani servers:

    1) Go to http://alteriw.net/dedicated.php
    2) Press CTRL+F (A search bar will open)
    3) Type Pak in it.
    4) You will see some server's ip. Just note them and connect them via console or you can simply connect by clicking on server name.

    When you start the game two windows open. One is the game one and another is the white box with some text running on it. That small white box window is your Console.
    Write the ip and before it write "connect", ex
    connect 192.168.1.1 :)

    Well it's more like an alternate timeline where you can or can't change the events of the original. Depends on what the devs decide to do. It can take 3 parts or more due to the change. I'd rather have the original remake than playing a kiddy story where you can alter the events and save everyone you love.

    Oh really? I didn't know that. I will still try it out though. I don't mind minor changes to the story (It would be great if they let us save Aeris/Aerith in the remake). I guess that would take away the emotional element from the game though... But at the same time we all kind of wanted to save her in the original. So... I'll let the devs decide what to do with that.
