Recounting doesn't help.

If you notice on the face of the answer sheet, on the 'marks' area, there are three different boxes that require three different signatures. One is the usual checking and marking the whole paper stuff; and the other two are filled by two different moderators, which again do rechecking and recounting

So there is a very, very minute chance that one got what one didn't deserve.

few friends are saying that
the last date was till late exam entry date...

but also heard from few guys that, if medical case is submitted 15days prior to the exams , they will freeze your exam entry
but on medical grounds u cant just freeze one paper, otherwise they will simply reject ur application..

Well that depends. If you have spent some good time during your BBA doing internships or any other work that may count as work experience on your CV, then you may get an officer or executive level job right after your studies. Otherwise, you'll have to start from the bottom, probably as a trainee. But its rare. The infamous abundance of MBA in this country has created a norm of recruiting only an MBA holder, even for the lowest of the jobs.
Most top tier organizations in Pakistan demand atleast 3.0 or 3.2 GPA. Otherwise, many doesn't even care for that, as long you show some good charm in interview.

The biggest companies recruit mostly through direct induction through big universities for their trainee/junior level positions. And even the companies that don't follow that induction procedure usually demand in their advertisements that only the students of reputable universities (sometimes they even explicitly state universities' names) should apply. So yes a good institute matters for top organizations. But that's only if you are applying for a starting level job.
If you have good experience, probably from a reputable organization, then you have a fairly good enough chance to land a good job.
GPA doesn't matter much, unless you are the top of the class with lots of medals... Usually anything above 3.0 is good enough to get you on the interview chair.

No particular reason. I don't know jack about any of this stuff; a friend of mine merely pointed out the fact that in big 4, more often than not, one doesn't get the chance to test one's skills in more than one area of work. There are already many people there ready to take the workload as it drops from the above that one rarely gets the chance to work outside of his assigned area and thus is confined to same field for 3 1/2 years; and after that too.

She said that when you cross the big 4 boundary, the somewhat smaller firms do not have much workforce, so one gets a chance to take a peek on other areas of the work too. The downside to this, of course, is that one wouldn't be able to learn the specific set of skills that another would master if he/she were to work for that particular area exclusively.

What are your thoughts on this?
Dont even think about it. Do you know Unilever and Engro almost always hire AFFergusion's Trainees? Sometimes they hire from other big 4 but almost 80-90% of the time its AFF. If you drop out of the big 4 it will seriously damage your chances of getting into a good company later on. Try to stick to AFF, EY or KPMG. I'd say go for EY if you have the chance.. they have good secondment opportunities and you increase your chances of getting a job in middle east after your articles if you have prior secondment experience in middle east. Go for AFF if you want to stay in Pakistan.. Everyone here knows Ferguson and its easily the best firm in pakistan but abroad, no one gives a shit if its AFF, EY, KPMG or Deloitte ! KPMG also has secondment opportunities but its a little bit "maila" firm (no offence to any kpmg people here :D).

- - - Updated - - -

Have applied at AF Ferguson and KPMG so far. Both will call now and inquire about my status to decide for the interview; at least I hope so.

I am also thinking about drifting away from the 'big four', not necessarily small firms, but ones at numbers 5 to 7. Anybody has something to share in this respect? How well does the articleship in these firms pay off later?
A student like you will easily get into AFF. You cleared 4 modules in 3 attempts, that's awesome man.

If i were you, i'd go for EY only for sheer amount of secondments they have and they also support their trainees alot.. unlike AFF Managers who will try to ruin your career if you make a few mistakes. EY is the best firm for trainees in my opinion.

Has anyone here ever delayed their ACCA Annual Subscription payment beyond 1st January?

I pay my Annual sub. every year on time before 1st Jan., but ill have to delay it a bit this year due to some reasons. So i wanted to know if someone has had any 1st hand experience in doing so?
I read people posting all the time about delaying their Annual Sub. payments till Feb, March and even as far as till April, paying the annual Sub along with their Exam fees.. So id like to how long is it possible to delay it without incurring any penalties?
although I dont think ill be deferring it any later than Mid-February.

I mistakenly delayed the payment last year and rang up the representative in ACCA Islamabad office to confirm the status. I was told that it would be advisable to pay it as soon as possible but I would not be 'fined' as long as I pay the fee by the 31st; otherwise, penalty would be charged and my subscription would be cancelled upon an issue of a collection of penalty notices.

I'd suggest you ring up the Lahore office and confirm this for yourself just to be on the safe side, in case they decided to alter/relax/tighten their payment policies or something.

I ALWAYS pay after 1 jan :p sometimes as late as 14th or 20th jan!
But this time I am really trying to pay before the due date, as I've heard these folks are getting serious about it!

lol Thats obviously going to be their official statement. Regardless of what they say, people still defer it to the latest possible dates. Thats why i asked directly from you all, not ACCA.
But yes they could've altered their policies as compared to last year so you never know. Just like ACCA have stopped accepting medical certificates to defer the exam fees to the next sessions due to the mere amounts of fake medical certificates turning up every year :p

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
