Hope they dont make Oni 2.

Dont know about you guys ,but except for Halo( A standard shooter) Bungie's other games were pretty much crap (even Myth series).

Stupid people are stupid. Halo's IP is owned by MS. Activision or Bungie can't make a Halo game without MS's consent. That's what 343 studios is for. They'll be handling a lot of Halo related stuff.

Lets hope Bungie doesn't get screwed over too like IW.

Bungie, you m*****f**** s** o* t****** w***s, why did you choose CRAPTIVISION???? WHYYYY? Any publisher but Craptivision would do Bungie. I hope Activision implodes.

No NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOO. I wish they sided with EA, or Take 2. I really hope this is not the beginning of the end for Bungie.

Realistically speaking, they'll probably end up making 3 to 4 games in 10 years and they'll sell a LOT but still this is one of the biggest news of 2010 in gaming industry.

Also, this does NOT mean that Bungie can't work on a HALO game for the next 10 years. They're still independent.

Activision Locks Up 'Halo' Creators For 10 Years

(AP) SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) - Activision Blizzard Inc., currently embroiled in a legal shootout with two of its former game developers, has locked up the makers of "Halo" in an exclusive 10-year deal.

The company said Thursday it will bring to market the next big action game universe from Bungie, the video game studio behind "Halo," ''Myth," and "Marathon."

It marks Bungie's first such partnership since breaking off from Microsoft in 2007.

Under the deal, Activision will have exclusive worldwide rights to publish and distribute all future Bungie games based on the universe on multiple platforms and devices.

Activision is majority owned by France's Vivendi SA.

Shares in the unit rose 26 cents, or 2.4 percent, at $11.19 in midday trading.

^ Where does it say that Bungie can't develop ANY other game or franchise? The deal between Activision AND Bungie is for ONE franchise ONLY that will run for 10 years.

Bungie not doing any more halo's is kind of irrelevant since MS established a whole new first party studio just for doing all future Halo projects in 343, hell they even hired the guy who basically designed the western approach to MGS4 (Ryan Payton) for 343. They're working on unannounced projects right now and I wouldn't be surprised if one new Halo game gets announced at this E3.

SO what? Bungie have given us great games in the past and I'm sure they'll deliver in the future No matter who they team up with.

You would know best! :p

Seriously..

Bungie games are never revolutionary. They are fun but once they start a franchise, they pretty much stick to a original formula and make cosmetic changes only. Halo is a standard shooter and there is nothing new or different than other shooters. The only thing that made it soo great was its level design, which gave you options (like stealth kills or go blazing glory) and simple story ()Scifi (stories tend to be very complicated).

If Activision hired them then its because they know Bungie can make good and fresh COD games, which also rely on good level design.

i sincerly hope that Marcus letho and his core team that has worked so hard on reach leave for 343 industries after it is released. Msoft owning da rights to halo wont be enough to retain its magic, they also needs most of the guys that worked on halo from start

Knowing that Msoft had first 'right of refusal' on bungies new project, activision must have made a enourmous bid to get it. There is no guarantee that a non halo franchise wud even sell a million games let alone 10 million, all indications r activision did this to shrug off bad publicity from IW fiasco

Just another sign pointing towards the inevitable. Making exclusives effectively halves the people who're going to buy it. Seems logical seeing bungie were already the biggest thing on the 360, why not take it all

Whats funny is the fact that everyone has missed the "Bungie going Multiplat" part and are going off on the "Bungie partners with Activision" part....

including myself :p

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
