First of all not a geek :p
Secondly i5 is best for games because games only use 4 cores and not the threads in then i7 yet. They might in the coming 2-3 years.
Good motherboards have better options , just like luxury cars for eg ssd option , hdmi , better sound , easy over clocking options , support higher speed rams etc.
Good casings have more room , cable management options etc
Good power supplies are more reliable and deliver uninterrupted, stable current supply. Higher efficiency.
Fps is frames per second ' higher the frames better it is ' , a good graphic card should be able to deliver 35fps plus on most games.
Vengeance is faster then normal Kingston rams.

For you I would recommend
Core i3 2120 - 11900 (czone)
Asus H61-mlx - 5300 (czone)
500gb hdd - 6800 (czone)
8gb Kingston - 4200 (galaxy)
Gigabyte 6770/7750 - 12300/12800 (czone)
Xigmatec 500 watts - 4900

Total comes out to be 45400

Small changes can be made like adding the core i5 2320 for 17400 (5500) or you can choose a better graphic card like gigabyte 7770

Since u don't need a hdd u save another 7k

Well then go for the i5 3550 instead of 3570k since you won't be over clocking and nor do u wanna purchase a expensive motherboard.

i5 3550 and gigabyte H77 mobo should be your choice then .

wont that me much more of an overkill i5 2nd gen can handle all latest games + his money will be well spent on a better gpu and because H61 mobos of asus and gigabyte support ivy he can always upgrade later on without much hassle

Well depends if the motherboards are of gen3 if they have support, not all motherboards support ivy processors.

He wants a ivy bridge .. I told him to go with a sandy and get a better gpu

I doubt u will be left with any money from ur budget after this setup, use your old casing for now. Later on get the xigmatec midgaurd II , amazing casing.

Psu should be xigmatec 500watts
Gpu depends ur budget was allowing a 6770 or a 7750 ( get the gigabyte variants )

This is probably the best any1 can buy in a budget.. but since upto 50k. i recon he can get 7770.
SO u have a hardidsk in ur old PC that u r willing to use in newer pc ??
And is there a possibility u can slightly extend ur budget by selling ur older pc??

Ask any pro , they all would suggest u H77 if ur not over clocking and if u don't own a 'K' processor.
I don't know why furqan is suggesting it , perhaps he might has his own theory which doesn't make sense to me specially in such a budget. Allah ka shukar hai 800 watt supply nahee bola.

Get a 3550 and h77 ( even supports ssd if u plan on getting it in the near future , even has hdmi port ) perfect for your budget.

that makes about:
i5 3550 RS 20700
Gigabyte H77 RS 9750
Xigmatech 500w RS 4900
Gigabyte HD 7750 RS 12800
Ram Kingston 4GB value ram RS 2250
DVD Combo 2100
So in total RS 52500 and also wankelboy thanks for correction
