Everything has a Good SCOPE. Its just that how much interest u develop in certain field.. to all the generations coming there will b economists and accountants and financial analysits and even engineers and doctors!! But as u hav asked between economics and acc an finance i would recommend u to go for acc nd finance as it is almost equivalent to acca and it is considered dificult also!! If u hav studied accounts in alevls thn it might b easy fr u to get thr grip but if u hav not thn prepare urself fr hardwrk in the coming days. Acounts cones with practisr and finance comes with common sense..

I would say BS Accounting and Finance. Why ? Because I think it has a better scope and also because NBS has done a superb job in partnering up with CIMA (as you already know) and they plan to do the same with some other Accounting bodies in the future.

As for scholarships, if I remember correctly, the top 10% or 20% candidates get the scholarship for the first semester. So I think you have a pretty good chance with this merit number. Also, if you get a 3.5+ GPA in a semester, you'll get a scholarship of RS.21,000 and for a 3.7+ GPA. Rs.24,000.

Welcome to NBS btw. Ragging ke liye tyaar raho :p

The BS Accounting & Finance is a really nice initiative by NBS. Would get even better if they sign up MOUs with ICAP and the like, allowing grads a pathway into Chartered Accountancy and ACCA. But that's still an unsure situation, as I currently know of no such plans in the near future. Still, BS Accounts & Finance is good.

On the other hand, the BS Economics course at NBS, IMO, really good. The faculty is awesome, they've got some of the brightest Alumni etc.

As far as scope is concerned, well lemme get straight to it. There is no such thing as SCOPE. Period.
A degree and a respectable GPA will only get you as far as the interview table (maybe not even till there). All that matters now is your skills. If you can do what others can't, companies take u up in a jiffy.

About the scholarships, the top 15% (I guess) merit positions in the entry test get a full tuition fee waiver for the 1st semester. After that, get a GPA over 3.5, and they'll hand u a check of Rs. 21k. Get a GPA of over 3.8, they'll give u Rs. 24k. Beat all limits of nerdiness and get a 4.0, and u get Rs. 30k.

P.S. I hate finance. Booooooorrrriiiiiiiinnnnnggggg.
And the ragging scene's kinda died out since last year :/

I've just recently graduated from NBS, so here is my advice. Please dont look at the scope of these courses. If you have genuine interest in Economics then choose that, otherwise go with the other options. Dont for a second consider choosing a degree just because it has 10% higher scope as compared to xyz. At the end of the day whether you get a job or not depends on a lot of factors and not solely on the degree you have.

Choose something which genuinely interests you and make sure you're up for studying it for a straight 4 years.

Yayy on both counts, so with a 71 Merit Position i have good chance then? NBS does employ atleast 700 Students right?

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
