Hello everyone,
I am sick of the performance of laptops and I feel like going back to a Desktop Rig. The only problem that I have is knowing the best power backup source. I have heard UPS will get damage the PC and all so is there any other way of keeping my PC on for at least 3 hours after the lights are out.

GENERATOR power ( electricity ) always ON FLUCTUATION ... it will most probably damage PC / LAPTOP / Mobile

the best you can do is to get a CORSAIR / KINGSTON PSU a good one for a great PC protection

and as for the purpose of alternate power source get a BRANDED UPS . with sufficient power saving battery

Just buy a decent UPS, local or foreign, which is made specifically for PC's or similar systems and you'll be good to go. The backup depends on the size of the battery. Larger=more backup.

I used a desi UPS for like 2 years with my previous RIG. Even that didn't do anything to it.

Now I'm using a Systek (Paki company) UPS. These guys make UPS for systems, so they're generally better than other local ones. I've got a 36 volts version. Using three 70 Ampere batteries. I get around 5-6 hours or more of backup if only using PC.

Get a genuine APC UPS works like a charm and no fuss,
Any other good brand will also do the work

I'm not sure about the UPS cost since a relative gave it to me when they moved to a different place. But I guess a brand new 1000VA one will be around 15-20k.

Batteries costed me around 5k each. So 15k for three batteries.

1000VA means 600Watts, can you please tell me your power supply's power rating and the size of the monitor you are using?
