UBL Wiz Card! Some Questions

Hi Guys!

Got my Wiz card today!! I want to use it on steam! If some one using the Wiz card here can explain me one thing!
please have a look, If i understand correct it says Purchases in currency other than USD and PKR will be free and USD or PKR 3.5% of transaction fee!
So if Im paying in Euro lets say! thy dont charge me 3.5%?

and FED apply on every online transaction ?

is there a way we can check our balance online? without going to the ATM everytime!?

buying on google play (mcb lite and payoneer declined)

Hey guys,

So for some reason both my mcb lite and payoneer are showing as "payment method declined" on google play. I'm pretty sure I've seen people buying on google through mcb lite, why is mine getting declined?

Any alternative way where I can buy pakistan-compatible gift cards/prepaid credit (that doesn't have a surcharge associated with it)?

I was having payment issues with a SCB credit card. Same error, payment method kept being rejected.
I called Google, they took about an hour to reply via email with a form. Send a copy of your identification. And a bill or bank statement with proof of address.
Basically, your account is 'Under review', after submitting the documents, if your get an email about filling in a feedback form, it means they're done and you have to remove the card from your account and add it again.
Just made 2 purchases yesterday and they both went through instantly.

I bought something from Playstore like a week ago... went through smoothly. You probably used incorrect address... or name of your spelling, wagaira. Check from MCB they have your name correct... and address... wagera.

So, UBL has been on my nerves; they're not allowing me to make any transaction. Calling their helpline only revealed that they have issues with their back end system. Normally I'd ignore it but considering how I'm moving to Lahore and will be needing a working bank account at all costs, I have decided to go to SCB, now I know that their policies are a bit strict, and they'd want a proof of income. I was wondering if I can submit a cheque from my UBL account, or the entire bank statement as a proof or not. In addition to that, I know that SCB debit cards work on Steam, but is it the same case with Google Play? If not, then is there any other way to make it work apart from having a separate MCB Lite card as well?

Haven't tried debit yet, but I have heard that it works. I use a SCB Credit card and it works quite well on Play Store.

As for the proof of income, give SCB a call. Their customer support is unlike any other bank in Pakistan. Very helpful.

I did, as per the customer support, I'm to bring a copy of any utility bill. I'm going to take both the bill and the statement just to be on the safe side.

Foreign Currency Saving Account

Can anyone advise if there is a bank which offers saving account with islamic or conventional banking for foreign currency? And which would be a good bank for this?

almost every bank has foreihn currency accounts
good thing is there is no tax on foreign currency accounts
hbl offers you foreign currency account,the biggest advantage is large network of exchange dealing branches while other have exchange dealing branches in large cities only

MCB lite. Although you wont be able to get money from international sites.

In pakistan FCY saving is very limited due to the restrictions.
