Hey Guys..

Want to share a bad experience of mine with you guys so that you'll be careful incase (God Forbid) you'll stuck in the same situation like I was..
So here is a summary of the incident:

I live near Airport. My office timings starts from 12 AM (midnight). After waiting a lot there was a bus by the name of 'Y' came. One of my colleague was already travelling in that bus. He informed that he is coming so that I can join him. Then the bus came. I sat on that bus. He was sitting in the front (ladies section) right next to the door. When I try to sit with him, conductor started yelling at us that Sargent will stop the bus or a ladies might come. He was constantly yelling at us. Then even the bus driver told us to go behind (Men's section). We went into the Men's section. After few minuts, we got 2 seats at the last row of the bus.

We reached to Baloch Colony the bus nearly got stopped. Everyone thoughts that someone might be either coming or leaving. But 4 Guys came from the roof of the bus. Bus started running again. Then barely after 1 minute, they (4 guys) start yelling at ppl that pull out whatever you have.. mobile, cash everything. One men was controlling bus driver, 2 of them was collecting stuff, last one was on the back door, standing n watching outside. They rob people (including me) between Baloch Colony n Laal Kothi. Then they drop at Laal Kothi (few steps back from bus stop). After that.. a lot of worst things happened which I cannot share right now.. Thanks to KESC!

Continued:
Robbers dropped near to Laal Kothi Stop. After few seconds when everyone got their senses back, Driver stopped the bus. Few boys went out of the bus to see where those basta*ds are going.. but they were vanished already. Everyone went to the bus. Bus starts.. so as peoples discussions. Initially everyone was like 'Mujhe to pehle he shak ho raha tha' then almost everyone realized that due to suspicious behavior of Conductor n Driver, they might be the one who are involve. Me n My friend went to drivers seat n scold him to take the bus to the Saddar Police Station (Shahrae Faisal Opp. Aisha Bawany). Remaining passenger was kinda abducting the conductor who was trying to become extra smart. We finally reached to saddar police station. Park the bus inside of Caltex Pump. People were gathering n suddenly we realized that Conductor has gone.... No one noticed when n where did he ran away :| then we went to the police station.

Sad part? Well at the time of the robbery, there was more than 20 people in the bus. But when we reached to Police Station only 5 of us was left including me. Told Sub-Inspector that this n that has happened.. submit the FIR. He said 'Aap log ruken main hudood ka pata karta hon' (wtf?) then he spoke with few ppl of that station n said We cannot help you. The robbery area is not under this station..

All of us were angry. Asked Sub-Inspector what to do? he said goto Mehmoodabad Police Station. They are authorized to submit your FIR. We said okay.. n turned back.

Walk .. Walk .. n Walk .. reached to the Caltex Pump where bus was park. One guy told us that lets go to the Unit/Sector.. they will pull out evrybit from this driver! Driver got scared.. n angry as well that I'll die here but wont goto Unit/Sector. I will only goto police station. (we then even had a lil warm up as well) then we told driver to reverse the bus. He went inside of bus. I followed him. I was standing at the front door of the bus. Everyone else was standing outside. Backdoor of the bus was locked n closed already. Driver reversed the bus. I was standing at the door.. remaining 4 people was standing outside n discussing whether go to police station or Unit?

All of a sudden Driver starts the bus n ran away.. for a second I did not even know what happend. I thought he is just parking the bus in a proper way but then I saw that speed is very high. Driver has no intention of stopping bus. I went near to the driver seat. Told him thrice that Stop the bus. Let those people come. He dint listen. I dint have any choice either.. I went backside of his seat n put a lock of my shoulder at his neck (Gala dabana). He was like 'WTF'...

Bus was running like slow/fast .. in zig zag position. I was keep telling him stop the bus. He said I wont stop even if the bus crashed. Then I unlocked my shoulder. Sat on his left side.. n Gave him Awsum!!!! Punch at his face. He lost his senses for a second.. Bus was already running at high speed (may be 60+). I started punching at his face. Tried to turn the Steering at left side (so that I can crash the bus) but he had a strong grip on steering. He pull it right again. He was keep telling that no matter how hard you try, you cant let me to the place you want...

I then gave him a taste of my Knee on his face also trto control the bus by pulling steering at left side. He welcome my punch n replied back as well... We both were fighting each other over the steering right in the middle lane of the Shahre Faisal. Then finally one of my Knee Hit worked n he lost a little control over steering. I then very quickly move the steering at left but It was already too late. Right in front of our eyes, we saw a corner of the footpath (u'll see when you take a turn at left for SMCHS) That footpath.. was waiting for us to crash with it..

Moral??
* Be careful when travelling at night time specially in buses (Since Driver/Conductor was 100% involved)
* Be careful of this 'Y' specially > "JE-9448" its a Registration Number.

80per of the times when local buses get robbed the conductor/drivers are involved. They always start off by putting the gun on the conductors head too and they rarely take money from them.

Happened with me when I was in Shiraaz, took it from Nipa. The involvement was quite obvious.

100 % bus drivers are involved in this with out them it's not that easy. Sorry to hear for your loss

Same happened with my friend at drigh road bridge and they take the bus all the way too super highway and as they have plenty of time they checked each and every person and at super highway there is a car waiting for them.

Guess who obtained an overwhelming mandate from the city of Karachi? And who is sitting in the lap of the ruling party? And who is refusing point blank from providing relief to the people who voted it into power? And under whose ruling tenure has Karachi become a hotbed of terrorism and criminal activities?

I'd rather prefer living in a shack which guarantees safety of life and money instead of in a highly developed palace where i fear for my life and money every second of the day :)

That same party was present during Musharraf's time as well, but there was hardly any violence at that time.

People are too quick to pit the blame on one side. Ever heard of People's Aman Committee? Or the many other parties who're trying to force their way to power into Karachi by arms?

I'd like to know who's responsible for maintaining law and order in the city of Karachi. :)
Altaf Bhai and his telephonic khitaab.

@OP, sorry for your loss bro.

Which begs the question, what are they doing about it? And why are they still in bed with the party which sponsored the People's Aman Comittee? :)

And you think that MQM is the only political party who is responsible? gosh, PPP have the home department which controls the police. I am not saying that MQM is not responsible but why put the blame on a single party? Every party who's in the power is equally responsible for everything bad happening in Pakistan.

How about if I ask the same question from you about nawaz group? They have 89 seats and MQM got only 25 yet Nawaz still don't gives a damn :)

Nawaz is dumb and has no mandate in Sindh let alone Karachi, they just like all other political parties in power keep Abuses will lead to baning about each other but stay in power just so that they can rig the elections.

Cuz last time they walked out of an assembly session and joined the opposition Karachi was paralyzed by a wave of violence that only stopped when they started "negotiating" with the government.

The saying "Aik Zardari sub par bhaari" is very true. The ruling party manipulates other stake-holders, pits them against each so that they neutralize each other and at the end of the day, their own supremacy is ensured.

I know some officers in the police and rangers indirectly. They say that the home ministry's specifically instructed them NOT to take any serious action against any of the target killers. Why would the PPP do this unless they themselves WANT this violence and unrest to continue? All the supposed "search operations" that you've probably heard about in TV are little more than publicity stunts.

Some will probably disagree with me, but right now the BIGGEST gang of thugs responsible for majority of the killings, kidnappings and muggings is the PAC, which is the PPP's militant wing with its HQ in Lyaari.

Anyway, I don't wanna go into a full-fledged political discussion. Bottom-line is that maintenance of law and order is the sole responsibility of the government and law enforcement authorities. If they fail to do this for any XYZ reason the main blame is theirs and theirs alone.

When I vote for someone, I expect him to look after my rights. And I will hold them responsible for every little pain that is inflicted on me.

Punjab is the best governed province in the country. Which is a shame in itself considering how bad the others are. I'm not a Nawaz sympathizer but they're not in power at the centre unlike MQM.

So Karachi will remain in unrest unless the big boyz are in power? (lmao) Guess who's responsible for the unrest then.

How can you blame them when they have little to no control over whatever's going on?

When it comes to Karachi, there's blood on everyone's hands....literally EVERYONE who has a say in Pakistan's politics/establishment. All I'm saying is that you're wrong to pit the blame on one party alone, especially when that party is itself a victim of manipulation by higher powers.
