in my opinion 144 hz is a MUCH bigger upgrade than a 1440p screen. You will really notice the difference.

If I tell you that I can get a 1080p or 1440p 27" 60hz IPS monitor in this price as well ?
That depends entirely on what your usage will be, what are your priorities and what GPU you have. If all you want is good gaming performance in FPS and other fast paced games then screen with higher refresh rate will be more beneficial for you (provided you have GPU to run games at those frame rates). Otherwise if you do any graphical work on your PC or watching movies and TV series takes up more of the time on PC compared to playing games, or if the games you like to play are RPG and strategy games then a bigger IPS display will be better.
Only YOU can decide what's better for you :)

Thank you guys.
I've decided to go with 27" IPS 1080p Monitor. I will visit saddar after tuesday and purchase some of HP ZR2 series or equivalent.

I've decided to go with 1080p resolution instead of 1440p because I also play PS4 and I've read on multiple places that ps4 graphics get blurred on 1440p native monitor because of upscaling.
If any of you guys had experienced opposite then do let me know.

Your understanding is absolutely correct. PS4/PS4 Pro can output signal at 1080p or 4k, nothing in between. And 1080p video output on 1440p monitor will look very blurry so getting a 1080p monitor is the better option in such a scenario.

This is not true i have used ps4 on 1440p and there is little to no difference when compared to 1080p. Colors were little messed up at first but changing setting on ps4 also rectified it.

You're lucky that your monitor is not troubling you with resolution because it's a very known problem.
What monitor are you using ?
