no mate they dont,,, have this is the simple Maximus 5 formula, galaxy shingtec have same stock, these people are so illiterate that they thought that chaloo put the most expensive mobo on the link and people are so fool that they wont mind,

when i saw the price i was literally WTF
since if u check newegg.com the price of thunderbolt edition is nearly 34k so how could u expect Galaxy,czone people wont take their huge profits...

to cut a long story short, they have placed link of Thunderbolt but actually its the normal mobo without anything....

You are correct. I checked that ASUS Maximus V Formula is sold without ThunderFX feature as well. If local dealers are selling non-ThunderFx version; its price is even more absurd.

And yes, ASRock Z77 OC Formula is fantastic motherboard and best buy in Z77 chipset line-up.

Call and verify from the seller for your query. I am not sure, if they even know about this feature properly. Regardless, it is possible that this is non-ThunderFX version.

Yes sir this is very expensive here.In Malaysia its worth 900rm and my gigabyte G sniper 3 which much better its worth 1029rm

Bro, it is just branding and some exclusive stuff; nothing out-of-this-world to be honest.

Those who use ASRock Z77 OC Formula; know its true worth and capabilities. Nothing beats it in its price range; heck, it is arguably the best Z77 chipset motherboard yet released. To compete with it, you need a 40k worth of Motherboard from ASUS. Imagine.

Also, Maximus V Formula is not so good even in overclocking aspect (shocker, I know); just check these two reviews to get some idea:

I mean, a premium motherboard shouldn't be performing like this. But brand sells.

Bios updates may make difference but same is true for other motherboards as well.

i remember when i bought i7 930 i got P6T and that mobo was great, after that i got rampage 3 extreme,, which was the best mobo from them.. at that time their was no IMX or other vendors who could actually bring the brands like Asrock and other which were locally not available, so in that case we didnt had any option except paying huge amount of profits to Galaxy,czone and etc
but now since we have option so Asus is not cming up in the priorities not because its not performing up to the mark but just because of their prices going Absurd!

I understand. Yes, we had limited options in the past and ASUS was the premium brand available.

However, several companies have stepped-up their game with passage of time and this is good for consumers in the long run.

As an example; MSI Big Bang Xpower-II is fantastic motherboard for LGA2011 socket. But of-course, competition is tough.

ASUS is doing good no doubt but we now have wider-range of options, which is good thing.

Also, ASUS Maximus V Formula isn't bad board at all; for an average user, it is a luxury and performance great. However, in terms of competition, it is not worth it.

ASRock Z77 OC Formula, on the other hand, is also not just jam-packed with latest features and special overclocking capabilties but is also aggressively priced. One heck of a combination of price/performance/features and still not so much recognition among the masses unfortunately. Tragedy.

AsRock is not given that much recognition just because of the people thinking that its a cheap brand, heck ok it is cheap brand but this cheap brand is out performing a 35k motherboard easily, if u look on a thunderbolt X maximus 5 mobo, the only thing which it has is that sound card thingy
get a 10k sound card seprately and pawn maximus 5 thunderbolt x :rock:

2011 sockets have extreme processor, u cant compare that socket since it processor cost starts from 58k

if u compare a 3770k processor which cost around 33k its a better buy then a 2011 socket processor,

i wish rampage 4 extreme main 3770k lag jata i would have bought a rampage 4 extreme :bd2:

ASUS ROG series is just like 3DFx Voodoo series of motherboards. People have blindly invested in both of these brands.
