I was also thinking of the same reason for delay. I would suggest you wait another 2 days then contact if the tracking doesn't update.
Still waiting..whole mall road is blocked and what not.. wait people just wait

Is there any chance it comes duty free..
My order's status also changed to 'update item in destination country'.

No one can tell you how much duty you will have to pay. It depends on what category the item belongs to and what its value is in the eyes of the customs inspector. There is a chance that it goes duty free, but if it is an electronics item like a mobile phone or laptop, or headphones, there is a higher chance of having to pay duty.
What is meaning of that "update item in destination country"
My parcel is still the same..
I am quite sure thats because of strike in in karachi everything is normal now but in lahore whole mall road is blocked.
I tried to call gpo lahore but no one is picking up..
You know any other number of gpo lahore where i can contact them.
It means customs inspection is complete and now I should receive my parcel or customs detention memo at my home.
I don't know IMO Lahore's contact number, which is where your parcel is headed to.

However, I don't think it is of any use contacting. You should wait patiently. If IMO Lahore receives your item, it will be displayed in the tracking. If they haven't received your parcel, they cant help. Your parcel must be in transit.
My parcel got cleared today according to the tracking. The tracking status has changed to 'Insert item into domestic bag', which indicates that it is ready for delivery. I am expecting to receive it by Monday.

i called pakistan post office she said that your parcel has arrived lahore and was held by customs and got cleared and you will get it by monday but trackimg still stuck no update in tracking...
she was asking whats in the parcel should i tell them correctly whats in it or should lie???

There is no reason to lie. Customs have the right to open the parcel and check it if they want to. If customs inspection is complete then you will get it. Sometimes when I receive a parcel from China Post, the only update in tracking is when the item is received in the country. It is delivered afterwards without any update in tracking.

according to person i called in pakistan post office my item cleared and it should be here on monday but this tracking shows up on sunday..
how much time it will take to clear?
Customs clearance takes 12-13 days in IMO Karachi as you can see from the above posts in this thread and the tracking updates when parcel returns from customs. I don't know about Lahore.
Why they Are so slow..:laugh1:12 to 15 days just to inspect..

Customs don't clear cellphones. They send a detention memo. You have to obtain NOC for the phone from PTA and pay the duty before it is released.

I haven't received any detention memo until now..
I am thinking of visiting GPO tomorrow would help or not??..
BTW I haven't buy that phone its a gift...so I have to pay duty on that??
Dont waste ur time by going to gpo becoz they wont entertain u. Just wait for detention memo then apply for noc. Gift or not they r going to charge custom duty.
