I ordered something from AliExpress and after tracking it. It has finally arrived in Pakistan, but it says sent to customs and the status hasn't changed for 5 days now.

Three of my items from AliExpress never came. Wasn't expensive items either...a handsfree and two gaming mice. After waiting for more than 2 months by brother issued a refund request of which one hasn't been fulfilled still

Visit IMO Karachi at Main Shahrah-e-Faisal near COD with you Original CNIC and article number and ask them to forward it to your concerned GPO for delivery. Give them some chai pani so they will do your work typical Pakistani thing sorry to say .......

don't even think of chai pani, cause the new system of Pakistan post has improved. Duty will be imposed as per declared value or local assessed value. Things are improving. in Pakistan

Junaid Bhai I wish it will improve however my recent shipment was released after give the some amount before that they kept me waiting without assigning any reason.......

Moreover last year during Christmas time one of my shipment from Belgium also got lost / theft cause me serious trouble and financial losses

Patience is the name of the game. Never have any of my parcels ever been held or charged excessive duties. Everything is valued appropriately , and according to a time of their choosing.

I under Stand from where you are coming and can relate to what exactly you mean bro. I faced true duties in my last 4 to 5 consignment and they were as per the import tariff books.

Could you update on what happened? I also have a parcel from Gearbest stuck since 16th November and I have not received any letter from IMO yet.

As far as I can tell, 'update item in destination country' means the parcel has returned from customs. You should either get a letter or your item at your home now. See this.

Your parcel was received at IMO Karachi and since you live in or near Lahore, it was sent to IMO Lahore. When I order from Gearbest, the parcel is always received at IMO Islamabad and sent to IMO Karachi from there. You should wait. The tracking will update when it is received at IMO Lahore.

My pkg is in transit for 26 days..
One more thing on usps site it says cleared through customs in pakistan..means i dont have to pay any customs??

For me, it only takes a day to reach IMO Karachi from IMO Islamabad. As for customs, cleared doesn't imply that duty will not be charged. If duty is applicable postman brings a slip and you pay him when receiving the parcel. However, I don't think your parcel has gone through customs yet. Tracking status on Pakistan Post website will be more accurate than USPS once parcel is in Pakistan. If parcel goes to customs it should appear in the tracking on Pakistan Post website. In my experience, customs evaluation is done at the local IMO i.e. Islamabad IMO simply forwards the parcel to Karachi and the customs evaluation is done over here. I have never had to pay any duty on any parcel before the one that is currently stuck at customs, other than the 45 rupees handling charges which I pay to the postman.
