Former XBLA-only title Alan Wake's American Nightmare was found in Steam's registry, indicating the spin-off may be due a PC release.

Remember a while back, when we informed you about Alan Wake coming to the PC. The source of the initial leak was Steam’s registry and guess what, the same source shows that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is coming really soon to our beloved platform. As we’ve said countless times, Steam’s registry rarely lies so this is a trustworthy source. You read that right, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is coming to the PC.

Well, kinda makes sense. The news isn't as exciting this time around though.

Honestly if people didn't like theoriginal AW, they won't like this at all, this is just a spin off shooter made around AW's gunplay mechanics!

I didn't like it.

P.S, forgot to mention, the only thing i liked in American Nightmare was the presentation of Mr. Scratch! (sm1)

Alan Wake came out roughly 2 months after the leak was found through Steam's registry. According to that, American Nightmare could be released sometime in July (4-5 months).

The game will be available on Steam starting May 22. It'll cost $14.99.

American Nightmare is a standalone game that is not a sequel to the original Alan Wake.
