A weird Problem....

Ok guys i am facing a really weird problem when i play games. It seems like my all games are locked on 25fps some how as i can't get more than 25fps on any game. Even Counter strike 1.6 is lagging like hell. No matter which game i play is locked on 25 fps. I have updated my GPU drivers but nothing happened still games lag like hell. If anybody has idea whats going on and its there any way other than installing fresh OS.
P.S: My rig details are under my avatar and i am usin Windows xp sp3.

Is your Vsync from your display driver properties on? Turn it off and then try again. If it gives problem then report back here.

Now what we know till now:

- Its not any game problem, its not Vsync problem.
- You are getting constant 25 FPS, that means it is not a virus problem.
- It could not be due to over-heating of GPU because it would give good FPS at start and when it starts heating, the FPS will deteriorate.

It could be the GPU drivers or something in your Windows that you recently installed thats limiting the FPS.

How about a fresh "reinstall" of all GPU drivers and of directx too while ur at it. Check the bios to see whether you have accidentally affected some setting that is making the GPU run slower (like decreasing the bus speed for no reason). If you are not sure then reset the bios to default settings

Was it always like this or was there a point when u were actually getting good fps?

All else fails run sissoft sandra if you can get it, its really good at checking ur system and finding errors

ok I have try to update my Gpu drivers but problem still remains. And all games immediately do to 25 fps after starting i will try to monitor my temps though and will tell here.

Ok problem is solved. Some how reseting bios did the trick and games are running fine now.
