PC A bit of advice needed in building my first pc

Hello guys

i am planning on doing a long term investment so i am very choosy right now not to chose something that is overpriced nor do i want to compromise on performance so here is what ive considered:

Processor: core i5-3570k
Motherboard: Intel BLKDZ77SL50K Z77 LGA 1155
Ram: SAMSUNG 8GB (2 x 4GB) @ 1600mhz
SSD: Samsung 830 series 256 GB
Casing & Psu: coolermaster elite 334U mid tower case + standard 420watt

Now for the graphic card & display i just cannot make my choice any better:
1.GTX 660
2.GTX 670
3.GTX 680

1.Asus PA238Q
2.Acer GD235HZ
3.Benq XL2420TX

i just cant put my finger on it i am a bit confused i guess and as for the casing i just need something decent to cover up the things inside lol

for the motherboard i you have something better in mind please do suggest the processor, ram ssd are final but i am unsure about the other stuff.

i would be more than thankful to you if you point out any of the above components inappropriate and replace them with something suitable

lastly i was wondering is 3d over hdmi really worth the price

Why you selected Intel Main board?

For long term i would suggest you "Maximus III Formula, Maximus III Extreme" that is if you could afford them. I suggested these because they give good performance over long period.

Regarding Graphic cards, what is your budget on them? selecting Chip alone cannot help!

forget the budget what do you think is the right choice is spending extra cash on the gtx 680 a better choice or am i better of with 670 or 660 and the intel mainboard performs remarkably well for an remarkably low price so i kinda went with it but ill do check the maximus option you suggested thanks

How can a LGA 1156 motherboard drive an LGA 1155 processor is beyond me.

OP. From where will you buy these things? And if those Samsung memory sticks are the new 1.35V modules, then it's one hell of a selection.

get a gtx 670 .. 680 is only 5 to 7 % faster and 10k more expensive ... 670 is ur best choice.. it doesnt matter between 60 and 65fps they both will look the same

Then go for GTX 670. As suggested by oldschoolgamer.
From my perspective, "I think Intel is a cheap board with low performance, If you need high performance then go for Asus or Gigabyte boards."

Ok thank you guyz you just made my decision a hell lot easier now what about the display any ideas what i think is if one is going for 3d nowadays then it should have lightboost technology without the lightboost in 3d its just another game of hide and seek or better one should not go for 3d at all a 120hz true hd 1080p monitor will do great too what do u think guyz

420w standard psu wont do good, get atleast xigmatek 600watt for gtx 670 to work. And why 256gb ssd? Get a lower ssd for os and a mechanical drive for storing bigger data, a 64gb ssd n 2tb mech drive wil cost almost same as a 256gb ssd.
The beter the hz i.e 120, the better wil b display, so get 120hz display and get a 680 gtx or even 690 if u can get.

Agree... i'd go for a 500w psu atleast
I'd prefer 7950 if u really want to save money but if u really want nvidia then go for the 670.......

Get 128 GB SSD for OS and programs and few heavy games and 1 TB Mechanical drive for remaining games (nowadays games like Dishonored take 3 or so seconds in loading an entire mission on my i3 processor and mechanical drive).

For 3D, you might need a better GPU. I am not experienced in 3D so advice is to be sought from someone else.

Get ASUS or Gigabyte motherboards.

You could do well with 6 GB RAM too, but 4 GB is minimum for best experience for next year's games like Crysis 3.

Buy atleast a 600W Power Supply. Like GS600W from Corsair. Don't buy Cooler Master Power Supplies.

i agree what ever he said except the PSU dont go for corsair gs serires it doesnt worth it .. the lousiest psu's corsair ever made .. otherwise their psu is best in the market go for xigmatek nrp 600
its an awesome psu i m using it right now .. and for the case dun buy small midtower like u mentioned above go for cooler master haf 912 it alot bigger and better cable management
as for monitor ViewSonic 24" VX2439WM LCD this is ur best choice its 24' .. imo 27' gets a lil bigger for pc as u r gonna sit right next to it all the time

Cooler Masters "Extreme"series psu's are worthless for gaming,but their GX and Silent Pro series are recommended psu's.(Amd recommended psu's)

CM's GX550w psu has 44 amps which is very good for heavy cards,which require 500w/550w psu.

@FEUL 2009 bro in psu,s amps dun matter that much as the the power drop on those rails... i can get a china psu for 2k with 40amps but it will drop power often so everything in u pc is in danger ...
and GX series is good only for mainstream gamer ... a gX 550 can face problem at load more than 400 watt bro
