4K Gaming PC Build 2017

Salaam PG,

My first thread on PG after a long time , just wanted to share my 2017 4K gaming PC build , upgraded from an i5 2500k to an i7 7700k , i was not planning to document my build step by step with pictures hence why the pictures will look bad in presentation so please bare with them .

My system specs (Mashallah) :-

- intel i7 7700k
- Asus Strix Z270E Motherboard
- Asus Strix GTX 1080Ti OC
- G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB 3000MHz
- Western Digital 2TB HDD
- Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD
- NZXT Kraken X52
- NZXT Aer 120 Fan x2
- NZXT Hue+
- NZXT S340 Elite Black
- NZXT Internal USB extender
- Cablemod Black sleeved cables
- Windows 10 pro 64bit
- Sony X800D 43'' 4k UHD HDR10

From where did you get the Kraken x52 cooler? I couldn't find it on any of the online stores here in PK.

Glad you liked it , all the hardware was purchased from United States .

Thank you , HUE+ does make a difference , if you want RGB then i would recommend to go with their full range from NZXT .

Yes you are right Trident Z RGB are the best looking RAMS for RGB needs , even the performance is pretty good .

Yes dear you can change colors of the NZXT Aer Fans through their CAMS software and HUE+ module.

Ah yes Sony X800D surely is an interesting choice over a monitor for couple of reasons .

I was all out there to get a 40" 4K HDR gaming monitor , But sadly none exists as of yet (dell , LG and wasabi mango monitors do not count) looking at Asus and Acer lets hope we get big 4K HDR gaming monitors .
I am not much into competitive FPS like CS go , so i can get away with input lag , speaking of input lag , it is actually not that bad , very much playable (the high pings of our ISP will get us before we feel the input lag).
I mostly play RPG games and MOBA so a bigger screen makes it a more immersive experience.

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

    Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

    Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

    PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

    About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
