1080p or 4K Monitor

AoA, as the title shows, I'm planning on to buy a monitor, as you all know 4K tech has started to bloom, so I was thinking of to upgrade one time with something big, can you please suggest me what should I opt for, and in details please, what's the pros and cons of both, and what model should I choose.

My budget is less than 50K, My rig is

CPU: i7 4770Motherboard: GigaByte Snipper B5
Memory: Corsair 8GB DDR3 Vengence
GPU: SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5
PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850

4k is not worth it... yet and beside you need those 60k+ gpus for playing latest games on ultra and 4k 30fps and 1080p is very stable right now and your gpu is enough for 1080p no need for 4k get oculas rift instead if you can

4k is a nice option, but i doubt you will get new 4k panel for 50k. also if you want to use 4k then be prepared for new enthusiastic category gpu and not just 1.
If you plan on watching movies etc then you'll be fine with 1080p

Get a 1440p panel instead of 4K because you don't have the rig to play games at 4K and even 30 FPS. But 2K is worth it because you can run games on your rig in playable framerates and enjoy superior visuals.

I have been using Dell 2k Panel and looking to buy another but couldnt find anyother in cheaper than 50+K.

All the advices are perfect. One more thing to be added. For 4k you need multi gpus and that causes serious heat. That would add even more cost of chilling. Not worth 4k maybe in 3 years, then you can

Oh thanks a bunch guys, really appreciated your time, one more thing I wanna ask, If I opt for 1080p, which model should I go for? I'm using Samsung currently which I'm giving to my little bro, I've heard Asus are great.. any other brand and model you would suggest?
