I have only watched Elfen Lied so I can't say much. But the order is pretty much good like you wrote. Leave Madoka for he end because it has higher ratings, perfect tier music and it's by Shaft. And Shaft never does produces something bad.

But if you have time problems then only watch Madoka.
I watched it long ago. I found the anime to be awful, shit, screwed up, ugly etc. but then the story grew on me. It's one of the best moral lesson for life.
