There are still a few games and a few game developers that do it the old way. Look at all the new Sony exclusives. Rain, Journey, The Unfinished Swan, Beyond: Two Souls, etc.
These games still give me hope but I know that most of these games won't get the recognition that they deserve.
What everyone fails to see is that gaming is a very unique medium where you can express some very thought provoking concepts if only people try to do so.
I honestly don't consider those people gamers. There is a serious misunderstanding of what a gamers is. Imo, everything was fine when we were considered nerds and when people gave real dedication to games. Now, it's just another mass media product. It saddens me. :<
