    faraany3k, you wana know why he v-synced it to 30FPS? Because even a Core i7/GTX680 cannot attain 1080p60 at Very High settings and he most probably wanted to use a controller (yes, on a PC for an FPS) :lol:

    Now if he also played games like DmC and Bioshock Infinite locked down to 30FPS (and NOT in gimmicky 3D), which can easily do 60FPS on that rig, then I guess he really doesn't care about 60FPS. In which case, I gotta say even that Rs. 35K was a deal wasted. Core i7/680 and gaming at 1080p30 even before (according to him) next-gen has started? Epic fail.

    How was his Crysis 3 visually "next-gen", when according to you, next-gen must be presented in 'glorious' 60fps. A GT 440 can't do that at 720p, let alone 1080p.

    And for the uninformed, I played Crysis 3 v-synced at 30fps. Yeah, that's how much I care about 60fps. The only way it will ever matter to me is in a competitive environment on the PC, where my opponent are potentially playing at 60fps or 120fps.

    Point is, the same economy system will not be implemented on the console versions. Nothing game breaking at all, because it will probably have its own console-specific means of trading gear. They never said it won't be possible to trade gear. All they said was that the same economy system aka Auction house will not be implemented on consoles.

    I'm sorry, but using sources like DFC Intelligence doesn't help your cause. Try to find a better source like NPD or the game's developer/publisher. The IGN article I quoted got their figures from Guild Wars 2's developer.

    Haha you think losing the auction house is a big deal? Not everyone plays games to earn money. Most of us play it to have fun, and without the hassle of always staying connected to Blizzards servers, that' exactly what we'll be doing. Plus, there's 4 player coop available on the same console with 4 controllers. It could become a decent party game. The trade-off is worth it, as far as I'm concerned.

    The popular PS3 exclusive titles sell more than that. Granted, Diablo III sold really well on the PC, but it's also coming to the PS3 now (with offline play - the biggest PC betrayal), so you may exclude that from the discussion :)

    Haha the main reason I got the GPU is, wait for it, PIRACY! Because that's the reason why I had an X360. For me, the PC is a replacement for the X360, not the PS3. As I said earlier, the PS3 still stands tall as my primary gaming platform, with it's lineup of exclusive titles that I really enjoy.

    And yes, I haven't heard of anyone who owns a PS3 and doesn't have a PSN account in this day and age ;)

    LOL you as well as I know that most PCs are bought for non-gaming purposes. Secondly, you're probably counting the sales of PCs ever since they came into existence, because there are around 6 Billion people in this world, and each one of them obviously couldn't have bought 3 or so PCs since 2005.

    Dominated by Mass Effect? lol the first Mass Effect wasn't exactly a AAA game. At best, it was a new IP that showed potential. It had broken shooting mechanics, and you're labeling it as a shooter here :lol:

    Killzone was played by a lot of people. Sony does not announce regular stats for game-specific activity on PSN, so you're purely stating this on the basis of sales. Yes, COD sells more than other shooters, but that doesn't just happen on the PS3. The same goes for the X360.

    Neither Braid nor Limbo are as critically acclaimed as Journey (2012, not 2013). Heck, even The Walking Dead received more critical acclaim than the two games you mentioned.

    Lagging in major genres like FPS and TPS? Surely, you've heard of Killzone, Resistance, Warhawk, and the Uncharted series? The Infamous games can also be termed as openworld third-person shooters. Would you like to mention the FPS title you play that didn't make its way to the PS3?

    Not only that, but the PS3 is also home to the most successful indie title to date i.e. Journey.

    Also, what's wrong with the PS3's online component? Several PS3 exclusive games are server-based, and lag is hardly an issue in most games. Of course, not having a PSN ID, you are the last person who would know that. :lol:

    Lastly, whether you want to admit it or not, critical acclaim does have an important role to play in the success of a platform. It was only after the success of PS3 exclusives, starting from 2008, that allowed the PS3 to catch up to the X360's sales.

    Actually, this list is based on GoTY awards from all the Metacritic-certified critics and highly prestigious awards ceremonies. Hence, at the end of the day, this list is least subjective, because it includes the verdict of every major critic out there.

    I don't know what console gaming is dominated by. All I know is that if someone had the chance to get one platform and one platform only during this generation, it is the PS3, from a critical perspective. All of the critically acclaimed PC games in this list are available on the PS3, whereas the opposite is not true. Granted, they are best played on the PC, but then you miss out on the exclusive ones. Therefore, the optimal decision for someone who is only planning to game on a single platform would be to simply get a PS3.

    Also, TOR is not the most expensive game. Bioshock Infinite is, and that too mainly due to its extended development cycle.

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
