  • I wouldn't be surprised if Battlefield 4 also ends up being DX11 only.

Also, most of the components in my PC were bought 3 years ago. I didn't know replacing the GPU and PSU suddenly made it 'high-end' in his book

He says it like I made one big investment the way PC gamers here usually do when building a new rig. Over dramatic much? lol
He would have something to argue about had I called Crysis 3 'a mazterpieze' like Yerli himself did. But I did not lol. And then, even Shyber liked Crysis 3 more than any previous Crysis game. Oh and even his new best friend liked RE6 more than RE5. He himself liked UC3 more than UC2. By his logic, everyone must be wearing fanboy goggles if they like a lower Metascore game more than a higher rated one

Crytek rendered his GTX 260 obsolete.
He talks like all other games apart from Crysis 3 are DX11 only. Logic

And the lota just comes from the fact that the greatest PC hater on this forum now flaunts about owning a high-end rig (lmao)
By "calling it", I didn't mean I was the first one ever to make the claim. I was calling it here on these forums based on what I've been reading over at Beyond3D. Somehow that translates into me being a "Lota".

Not surprising, coming from the individual who couldn't tell that the PC UE4 screens from DF's face-off were from last year's build that featured SVOGI lighting. He spent quite a while trying to prove that the "updated" PC build was somehow "better" even without SVOGI, based on those screenshots. Logic!
I wouldn't need to scratch my head, because I don't believe he got a new GPU. He's still gaming on the GT 440, since Crytek rendered his GTX 260 obsolete. It's in-line with his theory of upgrading PC components after a new generation of consoles begins.

Well, obviously, a disappointment for him in terms of how they were received critically. His fanboy goggles can turn any iteration from his beloved game franchises into the next best thing in the world. What more proof do you need other than the fact that he liked Crysis 3 more than he liked Crysis 2
Also, I'm calling it - the next box is going to have 2 APUs

Yeah, CerebralLota is calling it

Tomb Raider turned out to be a disappointment for him
Well, after the massive disappointment his beloved 'tech demo you can play' Crytek has turned out to be for him

Great, now he'll tell me what was a disappointment for me. Did he have to sell a part of his brain to buy his new rig? According to his "curiosities", I hadn't even played Bioshock Infinite because I have "ditched traditional PC gaming" :tv:
"although the MP Alpha on PC suggests otherwise so far."
lol @ couldn't fathom. Over dramatic much? lol Its acually this guy who would've never thought in his dreams that he would be ditching a console and buying a high-end rig one day. This statement above clearly shows that I did think there was a slight chance of it happening.

And what of the lulz detective skills which led him to believe I am "bashing" Nvidia so I must have an AMD GPU now? Please do keep scratching your head, I am very
Also, faraany, what kind of proof do you need with regards to my GTX 680. I'd be more than obliged to provide it to you. Screenshots of the GPU hooked up to the PC? You got it. GPU-Z screencap? I'll give you that as well. HWiNFO? That too. What else? :p
Oh, I've played with the keyboard enough to know that I can't adjust to it (and, after seeing the impressions of people on GAF on the matter, it seems the stick is almost always preferred over the W,A,S,D keys (unless it's an RTS, which is why I said almost).

@faraany: The only thing wrong with Bioshock Infinite's implementation of the Vigor wheel on consoles is that it pauses the game every time you access it. If it didn't, there would have been absolutely no issue at all. I can instantly pick weapons from a weapon wheel in other games. The issue in BI is with the implementation, not the input device.
He's probably realized now that he needs a PS3 more than he needs a PC upgrade. I had heard reports (from a close friend of his, who he confides in) that his own launch model PS3 was close to biting the dust (wait, but what about that Slim unboxing thread? hmmm ), and that was over a year ago. After all, who in his right mind would want to miss out on The Last of Us and GTA V, the only remaining major titles of 2013. Tomb Raider turned out to be a disappointment for him, especially how he was sure it'd trash the Uncharted series.
Very slim chances. Nearly 50% of people are still using DX9/10 GPUs, according to Steam survey. Ofcourse this won't be available on Steam at launch but thats a reasonably good idea of the overall current situation of the consumers.

There are still the console versions in play so its doubtful that its DX11 exclusive, although the MP Alpha on PC suggests otherwise so far.

    There you go
Well, after the massive disappointment his beloved 'tech demo you can play' Crytek has turned out to be for him recently, he probably fell back on Apple and its line of products. I mean, right up until the last minute, he simply couldn't fathom the thought that Crytek would desert his trusted GTX 260, which was supposed to last him through this console generation. Turned out, consoles do what GTX 260 don't, thanks to Crytek
I can understand playing games like Borderlands with controller because of there console roots, but BIOSHOCK on PC has hotkeys to switch faster and we dont have to pause the game. Keyboard is much superior in BI.
CT with all the Sherlock I face from you, lets be honest, I have not seen you playing any PC game ever. You dont use PC tracking softwares? Your Steam and Origin accounts are non existent and that 680 was not even connected in the [ics you uploaded. Show us what you got.
Yes, a controller on a PC for FPS - because the keyboard sucks.

But then faraany, how much has he actually played on a PC in the past that he is still not accustomed to the primary control scheme of a gaming PC? That too for a frekkin' FPS :tv:
Another deduction that I haven't played Bioshock Infinite yet. At this rate, he might have to find a new job because no ones gonna rely on his abysmal deductions lol. I'm not sure hes aware of the terrible load shedding situation here, which is close to 15 hours a day a now. I've started playing it, but its really no use to have such frequently interrupted play sessions. Its getting worse every day.
lmao @ "ditched traditional PC gaming" & "playing casual games". Those are some hilarious deductions hes pulling out of his ass. I guess he has fully taken up a new job as a lulz detective

And who would know better how awesome the touch controls are, when he is the one who has ditched traditional PC usage in favor of dat Tapatalk (lmao)
Yes, a controller on a PC for FPS - because the keyboard sucks. No need for precise mouse input in a single-player game.

Actually, I did play Bioshock Infinite at 30fps as well. The half adaptive v-sync setting is enabled globally on every game I play. The only time I turn it off is when I'm playing Street Fighter. Played DmC at 60fps as well, because the hack n slash genre benefits from a more responsive input. It's too bad, then, that the game's animations were designed for 30fps. I ended up being disappointed on that front as well.

Speaking of Bioshock Infinite, faraany, why don't you ask him why he hasn't played that yet? Eagerly awaiting the Mac version, I presume?
lol @ jumping ship. Wonderful logic! He makes it sound like I'm new to PC gaming

And I didn't sell the X360 because of 30fps, but because it hardly offered any worthwhile exclusives, just like the PC doesn't either. But at least with the PC, I can play the same multiplatform games at 1080p instead.

Nectrollipop's Lotafication goes far beyond anyone else's. He's ditched traditional PC gaming in favor of dat Macbook Air . A huge Apple-fangirl at heart, he also spends a large portion of his time playing casual games on his trusted iPod lol. Those touch-controls must truly be hardcore! (lmao)
