At Chapter 10 now and I'm in complete awe of how Capcom has been so faithful to the original game and yet somehow at the same time be uniquely distinctive with this remake.
The one thing that's slightly annoying is that you cannot store anything apart from weapons and first aid spray in the storage box. Not even ammo. I have always been a hoarder in survival horror games and I just hate to use resources that i can just store, never to be used again

Took me a good 30ish hours to get through my first play through on hardcore.

It would be interesting to see where Capcom takes the franchise from here. I dont think Resi 5 or 6 are that good for remakes so probably a Resi 9 and I hope it's from a third person perspective like the remakes.

Capcom is the king of survival horror games.
I have enjoyed almost all RE games ever since the RE2 was released back in 1998. My list of RE games completed include RE1 (PC), RE2 (PS), RE3 (PC), RE Veronica X (PC), RE4 (PS2), RE5 (PC), and RE6 (PS3).
I skipped RE 7 and 8 as the gameplay to me seemed slow boring, and didn't include 'old' casts as the main characters.
Capcom need to maintain the rhythm in the next RE 9 game by keeping the same action oriented gameplay as of RE4 and 6 and retain the same old popular casts.
Agreed.
But I think Capcom might skip RE5 Remake as the game created some controversy due to 'black' zombies.
With the BLM movement in full swing, a remake of the game may not be a right move.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making. -

L LegacyGamerGuy:I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

L LegacyGamerGuy:Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
