Regardless, PS5 version is the one to get for several reasons:

- i haz no PC that can run it at 60fps
- i no good with keyboard+mouse
- i no got ultrawide monitor
- i no haz DLSS capable GPU

PC fanboys are now recommending that consoles 'is really the way to go'
due to superior technical quality of the same product and lower cost of latest gen consoles.

The current state of PC:

• Exorbitant GPU prices
• Unoptimized AAA games - stuttering, shader compilation, crashes
• No more proprietary game engines - UNREAL ENGINE, UNITY are the culprit.
• DLSS 3 is a joke with fake frames and technical artifacts

- No large frame time spikes
- No crashes w/ game changing RT enabled
- DualSense features, including gyro aim, haptics, adaptive triggers, and speaker sounds

New patch today has fixed the dead zone issue on Xbox, also the RT hair are now fixed.

Deadzone not fixed. Reduced but still twice as big as on PS5 and some people reporting that image quality has degraded

- IQ has definitely become softer at the expense of a tighter 60 but bit of a downgrade for VRR displays.
- Deadzones are a lot more responsive now, the calculator type guys are saying its the same as PC now but still higher than PS5.

Every time you open map/inventory it takes several seconds for texture to stream in. The first example took 6-7 secs. Poor memory management stays poor. Yikes!

It's excellent. Really well-paced, well thought combat and level design. It fixes pretty much all issues I had with the original.

The Mercenaries is the best and easiest way to unlock the final weapon, The Handcanon.

Previously you would have need to beaten the game on Professional with S+ rank (i-e, new game, no NG+ weapons, no bonus weapons and less than 15 saves ... also auto saves are disabled in Professional).

Now you just need to get S rank in all the Mercs stage. Very easy and I did it in 20 minutes.

40-50fps range sucks for VRR. Its still a perceptibly low frame rate than 50-60fps and VRR doesn't help with increased input latency, esp in a game which already had broken deadzones. Should've optimized the game more rather than downgrading the res for an easy boost, but I'd say for performance its a net win.

Started this over the weekend on Saturday. 10 hours in the game at Chapter 6 on hardcore difficulty.

The game is an absolute blast. I am so glad i never replayed the again after finishing back on the PS2. My experience is pretty much like a completely new game because i can barely remember the plot twists of the original game.

You should even if you've played the OG RE4 last week. It is an excellent game and makes enough changes from the original to warrant another run

I suggest gamers who completed RE 4 to complement the experience by watching the upcoming animated RE game from Capcom.

PS. Plan on buying RE4 Remake AND watching this movie in summers. Not at the moment. Already engrossed in 5+ big hit games - PS5: FFVII Remake, Uncharted 4, Batman Arkham, PC: Wo Long, Elden Ring, Forza Horizon 5, Rocket League and PS3: Uncharted 3, Batman City etc.
