What servers are you guys getting high latency on?
Pubg Valve and various other servers. Getting around 140 ms to Frankfurt which used to be 115 ms before.

There is no way PTCL is ever going to get better, their stupid routing keeps changing for some stupid reason. I don't know why it happens but yeah. Used to get 130 ping on EU. Now it's around 170. GG.
Got some good news. Or.. a good rumor.
Exchange wala told told me that our connections will be activate before coming Monday (if I understood him right). He said they have the list of people with devices installed and they'll just do minor configuration on the user's end and that will be it.
Let's hope.

Im on 39.45 pool and PTCL has screwed up again. 150ms ping to Dubai Valve servers and 200ms+ pings on Rainbow 6 Asian and European servers. This service is only good for downloading/uploading. Even streaming sucks on some sites such as Twitch. This is pretty disappointing considering that PTCL has been in the telecom industry for a very long time. Will have to buy VPN again so that i can get a decent ping.
It's true. A guy came to my house about today with his Fiber checking device which he stuck the patch cord into. Upon asking him that why is he doing this again (as he did this before when splicing) he told me that this time he's checking the fiber cable all the way to the FDH cabinet and not just the DP boxes in those square holes in the ground.
He told me that the connection would be active on Monday and that a couple of guys will drop by monday morning to configure the ONT. Currently, the Link and Auth lights are both on along with the Internet light but I still don't have working Internet. I suppose it'll work once they come and configure the ONT. So, all in all, the ONT just needs some configuring and that'll be that (Hopefully). Everything else is done and dealt with.

On another note, they came to my house and just checked if everything was working. They didn't do anything else at my house, instead everything was done from the backend (The cabinet or the exchange I assume).
Regardless, the happiness was short lived as all of the lights have turned off on my ONT (Link, Auth, and Internet).
I suppose they were just testing if everything was in working order for now and are just preparing to set up our connections on Monday as planned.
This is good news regardless and I'm very hopeful that they will indeed turn on the connections on monday.

Does anyone here have any idea what causes super low upload speeds? I have PTCL VDSL. Up until a week ago, I was getting 20-25mbps down and 10mbps up. Then all of a sudden my upload speed went down to 1-2mbps but download speed was fine. PTCL can't seem to figure out the problem. They have tested my line parameters, connection, configuration - everything. They even replaced some "card" in my area and deployed a technical team to figure out the issue, which ran 4-hour tests on my lines today. No result. They increased bandwidth. No result. The only thing they haven't done is replace modem but according to them, my modem is fine (it was installed last Ramzan). I'm honestly stumped and it looks like so are they. I seem to be the only one having this issue too. Any ideas?
Just for the sake of doing it, replace the modem.
