I had the same issue. Support said it will be fixed by 6PM, but it's up already.
If it stays down till after 6, you should probably notify support. They have no idea why their services are messed up right now.
What changes do new hardware bring to the overall system/experience like performance , stability of fiberlink or it is a routine thing?

A hardware change only occurs when there is some issues in the network so it should effects the overall stability too. But as far as I know it's only the second time they change a hardware in thier network ( the first one was months ago when one of thier router becomes faulty )
My connection might be installed in this week, so was wondering if new hardware could improve stability and overall experience.

I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform.Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
