Support gave me the same reason , they are changing ports from thier Akbar Chowk POP. According to them all hardware is changed already and they are just finalizing the configuration and it should be completed till midnight.

What changes do new hardware bring to the overall system/experience like performance , stability of fiberlink or it is a routine thing?

A hardware change only occurs when there is some issues in the network so it should effects the overall stability too. But as far as I know it's only the second time they change a hardware in thier network ( the first one was months ago when one of thier router becomes faulty )

My connection might be installed in this week, so was wondering if new hardware could improve stability and overall experience.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
