Yup sure looks beautiful and you're right this thing is expensive i checked its 350k in Pakistan right now and that's with 455 GPU.....and track pad would've been uncomfortable but palm rejection is spot on and i find it better and more convenient than a smaller track pad where you might have to lift up your finger to continue moving to the other side of the page/window and the Mac OS gestures are just great...it comes with two sensors instead of one on the last gen which also helps i guess

opethian well i tested it out with my 400i and the dac is cool quality wise but sadly it doesn't pack the punch needed to drive the plannars maybe you can reach 60-70% potential of 400i but for the rest of the jelly goodness we need the amp....i dont know if you are aware there's a portable amp called arrow 5xt which is quite a hit on headfi...the guy behind those amps is a buddy of mine as he is also living in China he is making a new product that will launch in January so fingers crossed

Yeah I'm sure it's a great machine. I just don't like the closed ecosystem Apple has, and may never go for anything Apple, but well, personal matter. Otherwise, they're stuff is top notch and yeah, never dies really. One friend has a much, much older Apple laptop and it's still thriving.

DJ80 I agree with the closed ecosystem thing its always bad for the consumer but on the other side i love the integration it has with your other Apple devices i mean for someone who already owns an iPad or iPhone this can do wonders and for the rest i think windows 10 laptops such as surface book, xps 15, hp and others are a better choice....i have to find everything for mac and try and get it work lolzz but i willingly took this extra burden

Congrats. The battery issues on this model have really put me off it.
Yeah I can understand where you're coming from i mean if you're a 2015 MacBook owner you might see a decrease or no improvement at all in the battery life department as for me i have had it for 6 days and only charged it once and that too till 80% capacity....it sips power on sleep mode just like the ipads you never have to power it off just open the lid touch the ID button and you're in and you can get 10 hours or lets say 9 hours of browsing on safari as i keep my screen at 75-80% brightness i am losing 12-13% an hour with 13 tabs on safari and with media consumption you're looking at 8 hours or so i guess I think it's the intensive tasks such as video editing or gaming that really drain the battery fast but so is the case with every laptop i guess but yeah decreasing capacity really shows its ugly rear no matter how optimized your hardware and OS is there's no real alternative to the actual battery capacity period.

Good news is this

Phil Schiller Announces Apple's Decision To Work With Consumer Reports For MBP's Battery Life Problems

They will at least look into this matter further and optimize the heck out of the system [emoji106]

Lordammar opethian walleed imlegend okay guys got a small update for you as today I actually got time to use it as my only machine as I was outside I had to wait like 2.5 hours for my next class so here is what I did I loaded up bootcamp and started playing some video games first of all the battery when I loaded bootcamp was at 90% and it said 3 hours 45 mins of usage then I started playing shadow tactics and after 45 minutes into the game the battery dropped to 45% then I played a bit of Braid, bit of inside etc and in 1 hour 30 minutes total the battery went to 10% and I got low battery warning....however there are few things to consider first of all I was running bootcamp off external SSD so that requires extra battery then I was playing with my xbox elite controller directly plugged in via USB and screen brightness was set to 70% so considering all of these things I think the battery life was alright what do you guys think ? and also there were a lot of concerns regarding speakers blowing up in bootcamp etc I can confirm that everything works really well no issues there I just followed the guideline at Lon.tv and it worked absolutely fine.

After it was at 10% I switched to Mac OS and I browsed some web air dropped 2GB of video files and listened to some music all this lasted 30 minutes and I dropped from 10 to 7% so as far as Mac OS is concerned its pretty darn optimized and battery does last long however on windows side of things its different and to be honest its in line with all the other notebooks that use gsync screens in which the auto switching to integrated gpu doesn't take place. opethian I plugged in my se215 in this Mac for the first time today and boy oh boy the sound coming out of those was amazing even they never sounded that good coming from my hifiman hm-650 :D

Told you man :)
Since 2015 MBP n iMac, Apple has included a great DAC in its lineup and 2016 could be even better.
Thanks for confirming this as I just have HD598Cs for now, do try to run HE400i on them
I also use Boom2 which further enhances the sound
And I hope u already know that ur audio jack is also SPDIF out also n u can plug an optical line to ur DAC through that

About the battery well, this just shows u how bad is windows with battery/power management. How much time ur getting with ur mac osx?

Yeah actually the moment you mentioned about the DAC I tried the 400i but sadly I didn't like the sound coming out of the Mac I think the aune t1 mk2 is better suited for that and then I didn't bother again with the se215 and 846 that's why I was surprised lol and as for the battery in Mac os like I said 30 minutes normal usage went from 10 to 7% and generally it can last about 10 hours of normal use however I didn't had the opportunity to push it that much so don't know how it will behave under load but just this once I did try firewatch and it too drained battery very quickly I think the idea is to plug in while you game and only use the battery if totally necessary like lets say you're in a café where there's no power outlet the kfc or mcdonalds are plagued with this issue however costa for me is the way to go :D

Congratulations! Its a beautiful machine! Love the new MBP, Best screen I have even seen on a laptop, It's just so vivid! and the touchbar is fluid and intuitive! The only issue I have is with this one is that apple somehow decided to remove the 'Line Out/Optical Out' (S/PDIF) Feature from the aux port. All my old macbooks had that feature and Apple was known for it, not many laptop makers offer a built in line out through their aux port. But its gone! :(

They are on bloody gimping spree lately cutting and chopping everything people love and personally i miss the mag safe the most having seen someone tripping on her power cord and dropping an expensive laptop two days ago I really wish if it still had that feature i guess the new apple campus is quite expensive to build...just hope tim cook never gets to set his foot inside it after completion lolzz

And when are you coming to Lahore? I am coming to Pakistan in 10 days and i am holding off my purchase of h2a-se or ak240 because i want to hear it first and now that you have mojo and h2a i cant wait...

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
