So I went to the market today.

Loncin is 72k 6.5kW
Grannitto is 115k 6.5kW

How is Grannitto? By the looks and quality it was looking good, solid unlike Loncin which was looking China like. So which one you prefer?
Dont go on the looks. You should evaluate your decision on some technical and warranty factors
Ask the dealer why is grannitto expensive??. if it has better warranty or anything then it may be the factor.
but you are paying 43k more on Grannitto than loncin. Thats 1.5 times the cost of loncin.

Let assume that your loncin generator has a lower life and its winding will burn after 1 year and Grannitto will burn after 2 years. the cost of rewinding is approx 10k (again assumption). Your operating cost would still be lower with loncin.

I cannot tell you which to buy and which not to buy. If god forbids you face problem with a generator that i recommended than you might have a negative thought about me.

Price of the product goes up and down with supply and demand. In the time when i bought loncin. Jasco was expensive and it had huge customer demand.

Now it is highly possible that grannitto is a better chinese product than loncin. China can build any quality for a specific price.

Its your decision which to buy. If you feel that you are getting a better product grannitto then go for it. If you feel that extra 43k is not worth it? then go for loncin
Just do what gives you self satisfaction. Dont rely your decision on other peoples comments, not even mine.

I'm getting a generator for the very first time. Was hoping to get a genuine model instead of the cheaper Chinese ones. I wanted to know if the model in the link below is genuine. Also, 2.5kv is good enough for my requirements.
Yamaha Generators Pakistan | Portable Generators | EF2600FW
Well it does seem genuine. The website is Pakistani, but they have used images from Yamaha from other countries
You would have to visit and check it out yourself.
Honda GENUINE is approx 2 times the cost of cheap chinese ones. Hence you should expect the same variation in price for this Yamaha as well

So I bought a 7000 watts stabilizer for my 1.5 ton window AC yesterday.

It's one of those desi style stabilizer like the one someone posted earlier on this thread.

My question is - does connecting stabilizer consume more electricity? Does it consume electricty based on the power rating on the stabilizer (i.e. 7KW in my case) or is it based on consumption from my AC? Also, will the stabilizer still consume electricity while the AC is completely off or unplugged?

Find my answers below
1. well my answer would have been NO until i found this "Electricity consumption of voltage stabilizers depends on the efficiency of the stabilizer. Typically they are 95-98% efficient. Which means, they consume about 2-5% of the maximum load. So if you have a 1 kVA (or 1000 VA) stabilizer, it would consume about 50 Watts (on peak load). Which means if a 1kVA stabilizer is left on for 10 hours, it would consume about 0.5 unit of electricity. Thus leaving it on for 24 hours can lead to a lot of electricity consumption".
2. Electricity consumed is dependent on the AC. when AC compressor gets on, the current it will draw is independent of the stabilizer. However, it has to be ensured that any equipment that is connected between AC and electrical outlet is capable to handle the electricity requirement by AC. 7000watts is enough for the 1.5 ton AC (a lower wattage stabilizer will burn due to high current requirements from AC, a higher wattage stabilizer will be just a waste of money as you wont be needing high wattage)
3. And when the AC is disconnected, If point 1 is true then yes it will consume electricity as Stabilizer will be controlling the input volts it will be receiving irrespective if there is AC connected or not.

I need a UPS to power 2 or 3 fans, a 40 inch LED and a PS4. Also, I'll sometimes be powering a projector in place of the LED and PS4. I've heard the sine-wave inverters don't harm electrical appliances.

Questions:
1. Is it possible to power a projector on a UPS?
2. What power UPS should I get? I've heard Homage is reliable.
3. How many batteries? What brand? What type?
4. What will this setup cost?

All answers are greatly appreciated. Thankyou!

For 2 to 3 fans, one led and a ps4 1.5 kva / 1000 watts UPS will be enuf ... sinewave inverters are meant for lite fans only ... thy surely damages the electronic circuitry ... so never use a sinewave thing with led lcd pc or projector ...

Questions:
1. Is it possible to power a projector on a UPS?
yes u can use projector with a ups provided its a pure sinewave one

2. What power UPS should I get? I've heard Homage is reliable.

1500 va or 1000 watss ... homage is again an inverter so dont use inverter at all

3. How many batteries? What brand? What type?

a 1000 watt ups takes 2 batteries to run ... if u r using local made liquid battery thn buy AGS 165 OR 175 ampere and if u r going to buy dry cell thn NARADA is a good brand and its 100 ampere or 155 ampere is good ...

4. What will this setup cost?

APC is an american brand and is easily avaiable in market in used form ... new box packed APC is very much expensive so here people are using its used one for their home thing ... some people here in lahore are giving one year warranty with used one ... i m using used one too ... APC is a puresine wave ups is pretty much reliable ... i dont no wot price its being sold nowadays but its an idea that it comes between 18k to 25k depending on warranty period ... for local battery u can ask any battery shop for ags brand ... as far as dry gel battery is concern NARADA 100 ah ll cost u 25k and 155 ampere ll cost u 36k ...

i purchased it from johar town lahore .. their office number is 04235951495 and cell number is 03214997060

get an apc ups... they go good with electronics... i am using an apc ups with 4 200ah narada dry batteries with a hometheater and computer... works like a charm... i have 3 other 1000w apc ups for powering other parts of the house as well... the fans don't make that crappy sound on normal ups and you never know when the electricity cuts off

Thanks alot , i've been waiting a reply.
Infact give us your honest opinion on the setup. I have been using the previous unit of aurora and it was the best UPS i have had chance to use. Close to APC with advantage that it was brand new.

I remember when you used to discuss about apc back in 2013. I wanted to buy one back then. I did but that turned out to be bad experience. My refurbished one was really messed up. Used ups in my opinion are luck. I had to return the ups

First i was goin for used APC but a friend told me APC is not a pure Ups .The charger isnt enough to charge external batteries so they modify the charger but it reduce battery life.

they get repaired very easily, atleast from where i get them... nowadays better units are coming which aren't in bad shape... but there is no better ups option and i am fully satisfied... getting a new one is very expensive....

they just change a little setting of resistance in the output of the charger to increase the current... why would that damage a battery? a bigger battery needs higher current to charge in time...

How good is the Stabimatic 1000va stabilizer on Czone?
I'm thinking of using it for Overvoltage/Low Voltage protection for my PC.

What'd you guys think, any help would be appreciated.
(Cant afford APC yet)

Edit: I would also like any other suggestions, budget is 6k or under, That too is stretched.
I'm living in constant fear now since the last 2 accidents.
